
Finance Manager, Operations

You are a highly analytical and detail-oriented finance professional with a deep understanding of cost of sales in a high-growth food CPG environment. You thrive in fast-paced settings, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution and process-building. Youâve managed complex cost structures and partnered cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, R&D,and Accounting teams to drive efficiency and improve profitability. The Task At Hand:
As the Finance Manager, Operations, you will own all aspects of operational finance, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and predictability in the financial performance of our supply chain. You will play a critical role in forecasting, reporting, and optimizing cost structures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive margin improvement and financial efficiency. This role blends strategic finance, operational insight, and financial reporting, requiring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills.
In This Role, You Will:
â˘âLead supply chain financial management, including COGS analysis, variance reporting, and financial forecasting to enhance cost visibility and control
⢠Provide financial insights into cost drivers, risks & opportunities
â˘âPartner with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to analyze and optimize ingredient, packaging, and freight costs
â˘âWork closely with Operations and Engineering to drive co-packer performance, ensuring financial accountability, cost efficiency, and alignment with business objectives
â˘âIdentify and help implement, prioritize, track, and measure margin improvement initiatives
â˘âDevelop and refine costing models for new product development, SKU rationalization, and pricing strategies, collaborating with Marketing and R&D to align cost projections with margin expectations
â˘âEnsure accurate inventory valuation, PPV tracking, and cost accounting in partnership with the accounting team, supporting month-end close processes
â˘âPartner with Procurement, Manufacturing, and Accounting to establish and maintain accurate standard costing
â˘âBuild and maintain financial models for scenario planning, forecasting, and decision support, ensuring data-driven business strategies
⢠Perform what-if analysis to assess the financial impact of changes in sourcing, production, pricing, and operational strategies
â˘âSupport capital investment analysis, evaluating cost-saving initiatives, efficiency projects, and strategic investments to optimize operational spend
â˘âProvide Operations Finance leadership on annual planning and development of financial KPIs, such as gross margin, contribution margin, and cost savings targets
â˘âEvolve and implement scalable FP&A processes and tools to enhance data accuracy, streamline reporting, and improve the overall quality and speed of financial analysis
â˘âEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and best practices in cost accounting and inventory management
In This Role, Youâll Bring With You:
â˘â5+ years of finance experience, with a strong background in cost accounting, supply chain finance, and/or FP&A
â˘âA deep understanding of COGS, standard costing, inventory accounting, and financial reporting in a manufacturing or food production environment
⢠Experience working with co-manufacturers, a plus
â˘âPublic accounting and/or CPA, a plus
â˘âA proven ability to analyze and optimize cost structures, with strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
â˘âA solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
â˘âUp to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we âFarmersâ do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter

Compensation:
â˘âFull-Time, Salaried, Non-Exempt
â˘âThe anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000.00 to $150,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
