AI Marketing Specialist — OnlineTaxman

About OnlineTaxman

OnlineTaxman is the leading tax firm for Americans living abroad. Our clients are founders, remote workers, retirees, and global professionals in 100+ countries, and we run a high-touch, tech-forward practice that looks nothing like a traditional CPA firm.

We're looking for a marketer who treats analytics, paid media, SEO, LLM visibility, and lifecycle automation as one interconnected system — and who uses AI aggressively to punch above their weight.

What you'll own

  • AI-native execution. Use Claude, Cursor, Zapier and similar tools to ship without waiting on engineering — landing pages, automations, data pulls, briefs.

  • Performance analytics. GA4, conversion tracking, attribution, and the dashboards leadership actually uses to make decisions. End-to-end funnel instrumentation across web, booking, CRM, and billing.

  • Paid acquisition. Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging channels against a defined CAC target. Campaigns structured around our seasonal cycles (Jan–April filing surge, June 15 expat deadline, extensions, year-end planning).

  • SEO. Technical and content SEO — keyword strategy, on-page, internal linking, structured data, site performance. Build topical authority across the expat tax landscape.

  • LEO (LLM Engine Optimization). Get OnlineTaxman into the answers ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini give when someone asks where to file their expat taxes. Track presence, identify cited sources, build the content and citation strategy. This is new — you'll help define how we do it.

  • Lifecycle & automation. Nurture sequences, lead scoring, segmented campaigns that turn first-touch leads into filed returns. Help choose and evolve the right email/automation stack as we scale.

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years in performance marketing, growth, or demand generation, ideally B2C or prosumer services

  • Ownership of paid channels (Google Ads + at least one social) with CAC/ROAS results you can walk through

  • Strong GA4 skills and comfort with attribution, UTMs, and event design

  • Technical and content SEO experience — you've moved rankings, not just read about them

  • Hands-on with a marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Customer.io, Loops, Marketo, Mailchimp, etc.)

  • Fluent, daily AI tool use — able to describe three non-obvious ways you've used LLMs to do your job better in the last six months

  • Strong written English; persuasive copy is core to the role

  • Comfort with ambiguity and small-team environments

Nice to have

  • Tax, accounting, legal, or financial services background

  • Familiarity with expat, digital nomad, or remote-work audiences

  • SOC 2 or regulated-environment experience

  • Location: Fully remote. US-adjacent time zones preferred but not required.
