About the role
We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various HR functions while supporting a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will assist with HR operations, employee support, and process improvements to help maintain a strong company culture and a great employee experience.
What you'll do
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Employee Engagement & Culture
Organize company-wide meetings, including All Hands and AMA sessions.
Conduct employee feedback surveys and track follow-up actions.
Plan social events, manage company swag, and support offsite events.
Oversee the employee recognition program.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Support the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and recruitment tools.
Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, ensuring cultural and workflow integration.
Handle contract preparation, background/reference checks, and onboarding logistics.
Manage offboarding, including termination processes and system access revocation.
Performance & Development
Administer performance review processes and support managers in giving feedback.
Help coordinate career development initiatives and learning sessions.
Employee Benefits
Act as the point of contact for benefits administration and broker communications.
Assist employees with benefits-related questions and ensure smooth renewals.
HR Compliance & Support
Maintain HR policies to align with legal and regulatory standards.
Ensure completion of compliance training and participate in security audits.
Provide guidance on employee concerns, accommodations, and workplace policies.

Qualifications
2+ years of HR generalist experience
Must have experience working for a software company
Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices
Knowledge of HR software tools and platforms like 15five or Rippling is considered an asset
Adept at handling sensitive information with discretion
Exposure to Canadian federal / provincial and US federal / state-specific employment laws
Able to travel at least twice a year for company offsites

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 110,000 USD per year (United States)
