
Head of Marketing (remote, all genders)
About the position
This is the role for someone who wants to be a CMO at a serious tech company and wants a fast track to get there.
Pentaleap is one of the most exciting companies in advertising technology right now having won leading enterprise customers such as Macy’s, The Home Depot, CVS and many more. We’re the retail media infrastructure powering the next generation of sponsored ads for retailers and marketplaces working with some of the biggest names in retail in a category that’s growing faster than almost anything else in advertising.
You’ll join as Head of Marketing reporting directly to our CMO. You’ll own execution across the entire marketing function from day one. As we scale, the plan is for you to scale with us grow the team underneath you, take on strategy, and step into the CMO seat.
Small and very international team of 50 people, and a small leadership team. Everyone here is good at what they do, and the bar is high. The work is visible from day one.
We’re hiring this role with clear progression in mind. In the first 12–18 months, you’ll prove yourself on execution: shipping events, campaigns, and content that moves the business. From there, you’ll start hiring underneath you, taking on a more strategic surface area, and growing into the CMO role as the company scales.
This isn’t a vague “growth opportunity.” It’s the actual plan. We want someone who’s building toward that, and we’ll invest in getting you there.
Your responsibilities
You’ll own marketing execution end-to-end; the operational engine that turns strategy into things that go out the door. Working alongside our CMO, you’ll touch every surface of how Pentaleap shows up in the world: events, campaigns, content, social. You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, product, and the CEO. This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You won’t be waiting for permission, and you won’t be one of ten people on a marketing org chart. You’ll be the person who gets it done and over time, the person who builds the team that gets it done.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Positioning
Shape and sharpen Pentaleap’s positioning in one of the fastest-growing categories in advertising, translating complex retail media infrastructure into clear and compelling narratives for retailers, brands, and partners.
Work closely with the CMO, CEO, sales, and product teams to define how Pentaleap shows up across every market-facing touchpoint.
Help build and scale the marketing function over time, with the opportunity to grow into a broader leadership role as the company expands.
Demand Generation
Own and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels including paid media, email, ABM, direct mail, and event-driven initiatives.
Ensure campaigns launch on time, on brief, and with clear, consistent messaging across all channels and assets.
Coordinate cross-functionally with design, agencies, sales, and product teams to deliver campaigns as one integrated go-to-market motion.
Track campaign performance, measure ROI, and continuously feed insights into future initiatives and optimisation efforts.
Event Organization
Plan and run Pentaleap-owned events end-to-end including executive dinners, customer roundtables, webinars, and partner events.
Lead Pentaleap’s presence at major industry conferences and trade shows, managing logistics, speaking opportunities, collateral, scheduling, and on-site execution.
Own the full post-event workflow including lead follow-up, reporting, and ROI measurement.
Content generation
Build and own Pentaleap’s content engine across blog content, customer stories, newsletters, thought leadership, sales enablement, and product marketing materials.
Turn product launches, customer wins, market developments, and industry trends into high-quality content that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline.
Social Media
Own Pentaleap’s social media presence end-to-end including editorial planning, copywriting, publishing, engagement, and reporting.
Support the CEO’s external presence through content ideation, post drafting, and strategic storytelling aligned with the company narrative.
Identify relevant industry conversations and react quickly with timely, high-quality content that positions Pentaleap at the centre of the retail media ecosystem.
Your profile
Ideally, more than two years of experience in B2B marketing or consulting, ideally within SaaS, ad tech, e-commerce, or other fast-paced technology environments. We care far more about what you’ve built, shipped, and executed than the titles you’ve held.
Ambitious. You want a CMO seat in the next few years, and you’re willing to earn it.
A strong operator, you can hold five things in flight without dropping any of them.
A genuinely good writer who can match a tone of voice that isn’t your own.
Comfortable owning logistics for events, big or small.
Curious about retail, advertising, and how the internet actually makes money.
Comfortable with ambiguity as we’re a scale-up, not everything is documented yet.
Native or near-native English. German is a plus.
Nice to Have
Design chops, ability to put together clean assets in Figma, Canva, or similar without always needing a designer.
Experience writing for or about senior executives.
Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation.
Some understanding of retail media, programmatic, or ad tech, if you don’t have it yet, we’ll get you up to speed.
