Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 

• Ability to author provable, efficient, maintainable code

• Ability to analyze code for runtime and space complexity

• Ability to apply design patterns, both at the code level and system design level

• Ability to anticipate system faults, code defensively, and capture debug & telemetry data

• Takes pride in building bullet proof distributed systems

• Ability to participate in both an adaptive agile environment or a more predictive environment as needed and the planning and life cycle activities that come with each

• Ability to participate in code reviews and their code reviewed for constructive criticism 

• Ability to analyze complex data and extract meaningful information

• Is a willing contributor in understanding and eliminating technical debt

• Is a team player, and understands the need to build trust within a team as being crucial to success

• Is a willing mentor and mentee

• Is naturally curious and an active learner

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer

• Experience with software development using one or more (Go, Node, Java, C#, C++)

• Thorough understanding of distributed systems and how to make them reliable, scalable and maintainable

• Experience tracking, monitoring, and analyzing large amounts of data

• Thorough understanding of SQL & NoSQL datastores

Preferred Qualifications:

• Web crawling experience preferred but not required

• ElasticSearch experience preferred but not required

• Docker experience preferred but not required

• Kubernetes experience preferred but not required

• PostgreSQL experience is preferred but not required

• AWS Cloud experience preferred but not required

Compensation:

The base salary for this role is $120,000-170,000. Please note that our salary ranges are based on current market data and the offered compensation may vary based on experience, skills, location, and other factors permitted by law.
