VP Marketing

The Vice President of Marketing will lead our global marketing team across all marketing functions and will report to the Chief Product and Marketing Officer. This is an outstanding opportunity to build and evolve a marketing organization within a growth company. The Vice President of Marketing will play a pivotal role in the growth and success of a leading global SaaS company. What You Will Do - Strategic Planning

  • Determine the marketing strategy, design and implement an integrated reputation, demand, engagement and enablement plan to support the business go-to-market strategies.

  • Implement a diverse set of marketing tactics and strategically employ them in an overall marketing planning approach to meet business objectives.

  • Utilize a data-centric approach to collect insights to improve marketing. 

Leadership

  • Lead a team of global marketing resources including recruiting, retaining, and developing the team to maximize performance.

  • Drive collaboration and communication across all key stakeholders, including Customer Success, Sales, Product and Engineering.

  • Evaluate, select, and manage vendors that contribute to marketing strategy. Ability to flex up and down when needed to augment the team. 

Growth Marketing

  • Establish a common campaign framework aligned to the target market/ segmentation. Work with sales to define an end-to-end process and service-level agreements (SLAs).

  • Establish programs to support customer engagement and retention and establish metrics to track results.

  • Analyze, recommend, and plan participation in industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to drive growth and promote the company's brand.

Product Marketing

  • Analyze external market trends, competitive landscape, addressable market to guide priorities with deep understanding of market and competitive environment.

  • Understand and guide the teams on target personas, industries and solutions focus on partnership with portfolio and industry marketing.

  • Create sales enablement materials to be used in top of funnel and to support throughout the sales process. 

PR, Content and Brand

  • Lead the development and implementation of PR strategies and campaigns, including cultivating relationships with key outlets, to enhance the company's reputation and visibility in the market.

  • Oversee the development and provide editorial review of high-quality content and communication materials across various channels and formats.

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the creative services team, including graphic design, branding, and visual identity.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry associations, organizations, and partners to enhance the company's visibility and thought leadership.

Technology, Analytics and Reporting

  • Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of reputation, demand and engagement marketing activities in terms of KPIs aligned to go-to-market strategies.

  • Data driven decision making with experience reporting marketing value to senior executives, BOD, and investors.

  • Passion for staying current and experimenting with marketing and marketing technology.

Budget and Vendor Management

  • Manage, adhere to and optimize the marketing budget.

  • Track budget and quarterly/annual reports, focusing on ROI and recommendations to maximize marketing efficiency.

What You Have Done

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of B2B marketing experience within product marketing, demand generation, and/or content.

  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, ideally within the software/SaaS industry; experience in start-ups/scale-ups preferred.

  • Built and managed a high-performing team, guiding them through transformation and change management along the way.

  • Deep understanding of the B2B sales cycle and how to identify opportunities to maximize revenue growth. 

  • Deep understanding of what signals are important to a customer experience and buying process.

  • Proven ability gain buy-in and acceptance from senior/executive management for plans and budgets.

  • Ability to clearly articulate a market-persona specific value proposition.

  • Experience working with solution engineers and enablement of customer facing teams.

  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation, and spoken formats to various audiences.

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in a high-growth SaaS environment.

  • You have led Product Marketing.
