Editorial & SEO Content Writer
Scentbird is seeking an Editorial & SEO Content Writer to craft compelling, search-optimized content that both tells our brand story and drives measurable growth. This role will own copy across each of the Scentbird and Drift editorial hubs, further defining each respective brand voice while increasing pageviews and optimizing content for organic search.
We are looking for a natural storyteller with a knowledge of SEO best practices to create trending, high-quality content that flows seamlessly with the Scentbird editorial strategy and ranks highly in search engines while staying true to the individual voice of each brand. The ideal candidate understands how to transform data-driven insights into beautifully written content that inspires, informs, and performs.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Creating Copy That Ranks: Blending creativity with SEO knowledge to write engaging, consumer-focused blog content that drives pageviews and is optimized to rank in organic search, ensuring a timely delivery of content in Scentbird’s project management platform.
Owning the SEO Blog Strategy: Working with the Senior SEO Manager to create and implement a monthly publishing calendar for both Scentbird and Drift, utilize analytics tools to monitor and report on content performance, staying current with SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure content timeliness and relevance.
Editorial Support: Optimizing all editorial blog posts for keywords before publishing, suggesting headlines/URLs for stories on the editorial calendar that target related keywords, pitching and writing editorial content based on market trends as well as social and cultural moments.
Editing and proofreading: Top-editing and optimizing blog posts from freelance writers, QAing content before publishing to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand standards.

You are goal-oriented and have strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks.
You are flexible and can adapt well to changing needs and priorities, pivoting to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Need to Have:
A Bachelor’s Degree, ideally focused in Marketing, Communications, Creative Writing, Journalism, or comparable work experience
A minimum of 3 years writing experience with a focus in SEO copy, ideally for a retailer, agency, publication, or brand marketing team
Proficiency in SEO best practices and web-based research
Experience working within a project management system or managing copy projects from ideation to execution
A collaborative, positive, and flexible attitude
Experience or interest in fragrance or beauty preferred
