About Us

ScrapingBee is a web scraping API that simplifies the extraction of data from the web. The company was founded in 2019 by Pierre de Wulf and Kevin Sahin. After a small funding round in 2020 with Tinyseed, ScrapingBee is profitable and growing strongly.

Our team is fully remote and consists of the two founders, as well as Etienne, our lead developer, and Nizar, our support Engineer. We’re an autonomous and driven team that’s passionate about building a great product and enjoying our work. We’re not meeting heavy & communicate mostly through Slack. SEO has always been the main acquisition channel for ScrapingBee, and we’re now looking for an experienced Head of SEO to take us to the next level.

This is a 100% remote position.

As Head of SEO, you will be able to make a real impact and see the results of your work immediately. 

With this position, you will learn what it takes to build a successful software business with organic content. You will use this experience to grow your role here or even start your own company one day. 

Responsibilities

This is a foundational role for us and combines strategy and execution. You should be a hands-on leader (not afraid to roll up your sleeves). You will be responsible for driving and converting organic traffic, managing agency relationships and freelancers, and being focused on quality over quantity in your SEO work. We’re relationship-driven in all we do and aren’t playing a numbers game here. We build quality content and links that help us excel. 

Your responsibility will be to increase our website traffic and the number of new customers. 

About the Role

  • Lead and execute a revenue-oriented SEO strategy

  • Keyword research and content planning

  • Manage a small team of technical writers and an agency for content production

  • Optimize our website for search performance (website architecture, schema markup, on-page optimization)

  • Build relationships with industry players for high-quality link-building

  • Analyze and report on various metrics

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a similar role in a small SaaS company

  • Strong SEO knowledge, a proven track record of growing traffic for a B2B SaaS company

  • Fluent oral and written English

  • Experience with Ahrefs, Semrush, and similar

  • Experience with crawling tools like Screaming Frog

  • HTML/CSS and Git/Github knowledge, ability to update our website with Hugo (static site generator)

  • Deep understanding of Schema markup and Core web vitals

  • Deep understanding of EEAT

  • Advanced Google Analytics skills, including GA4 and Google Search Console

  • Advanced reporting skills with Excel or Google Sheets
