
Senior Strategist, Skift Advisory (Remote)

As a Senior Strategist, you play a critical role in translating insight into action, shaping client strategy, ensuring delivery excellence, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
This role sits at the heart of our consulting work: guiding high-impact projects, mentoring teams, and helping clients make confident, data-driven decisions in a fast-moving global travel landscape.
Reporting to the Director of Strategy, the Senior Strategist is a mid-level consulting manager responsible for leading client work, managing teams, and delivering high-quality strategic output across multiple global engagements.
The role is primarily focused on projects in the Americas, with opportunities to support global client work. Senior Strategists also serve as a key quality control layer, ensuring all deliverables meet Skift Advisory’s standards for accuracy, insight, and professionalism.
Some of What You’ll Do
Lead end-to-end client engagements, from problem framing through execution
Develop client strategies that address complex challenges or unlock new growth opportunities in travel and tourism
Translate research, data, and industry insight into clear, compelling strategic recommendations
Manage internal project teams, ensuring timelines, budgets, and profitability targets are met
Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client communications
Support Directors of Strategy on high-complexity projects and the development of new frameworks
Contribute to proposal development and repeat business with existing and prospective clients
Uphold Skift Advisory’s commitment to evidence-based strategy and delivery excellence
Ensure rigorous quality assurance across all deliverables
Coach and support the development of junior team members
The Experience You Bring
Minimum 4 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, client success, or advisory roles
Background at firms such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture, Strategy's Oliver Wyman, Kearney, KPMG, or a specialized travel/tourism consultancy preferred
Core Skills
Strong client management and stakeholder communication skills
Proven project management experience across complex, multi-work stream engagements
Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and presentation capabilities
Ability to independently draft strong storylines and lead senior-level discussions
Education
MBA or advanced degree in strategy, management, economics, or a related field preferred
Languages
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Additional languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin) are a plus

Travel & Time Zones
Ability to travel internationally on short notice
Must hold a valid passport and visa(s) that allow travel to most international destinations
Skift Advisory is a global organization with global clients and may be required to support working hours with a variety of time zones that reflect Skift’s and client priorities which could at times include early mornings and late evenings.
