About the job

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll work closely with the Head of Recruiting and hiring managers to build and manage Skylight’s pipeline of qualified candidates. You’ll play a key role in bringing in the people who help our government partners solve complex, high-impact problems.

You’ll own sourcing strategy, candidate engagement, and pipeline health across priority roles, ensuring we consistently attract and hire strong talent in a competitive market.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand current and upcoming hiring needs

  • Develop sourcing strategies to identify and engage strong candidates across relevant talent pools

  • Use sourcing and outreach tools to build pipelines and run effective searches (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)

  • Conduct initial candidate screens to assess interest, availability, and role alignment

  • Build and maintain a well-organized pipeline in our applicant tracking system (e.g., Greenhouse)

  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date candidate data and reporting

  • Represent Skylight clearly and professionally in the market

  • Deliver a strong, consistent candidate experience from first outreach through decision

  • Continuously improve sourcing workflows, tools, and operational practices

What we're looking for

Minimum qualifications

  • Experience leading sourcing efforts in an internal recruiting function or search firm environment

  • Experience sourcing for roles such as product manager, product designer, software engineer, or data engineer

  • Experience conducting preliminary candidate screens

  • Experience using sourcing tools to identify and engage candidates (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)

  • Experience maintaining accurate data in an applicant tracking system (e.g., Greenhouse)

  • Ability to work independently and develop creative sourcing approaches

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving professional services environment

  • Passionate about creating better public outcomes through great government services

  • A mindset and work approach that aligns with Skylight's core values

  • Ability to travel for work from time to time

Nice-to-have qualifications

  • Experience using AI-powered recruiting tools for screening, matching, sourcing automation, or analytics

  • Experience with Greenhouse or similar applicant tracking systems

  • Prior experience working in the civic tech space

  • Experience working in a remote-team environment

  • All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories. Some federal contracts require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment.

  • As a government contractor, you may be required to obtain a public trust or security clearance.

  • You may be required to complete a company background check successfully.

  • Some of our available roles are on federal contracts that require a degree or additional years of experience as a substitute.

Care package

Salary

The salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $150,000, based on experience and qualifications.
