Content Marketing Manager

Job summary

This position is for an experienced Content Marketing Manager to develop and implement Slope’s overall content strategy as well as write, distribute, and optimize high-quality and engaging content to drive our business success.

Responsibilities

  • Design content marketing strategies aligned with Slope’s goals and objectives and undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.

  • Develop and maintain content calendar and written editorial guidelines and ensure deadlines are met.

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest industry trends and customer challenges to build a more effective content calendar.

  • Produce high-quality articles, white papers, eBooks, blogs, press releases, infographics, survey reports, and web copy, ensuring copy is clear, concise, polished, and consistent with Slope’s tone and mission.

  • Develop content creative briefs in collaboration with the marketing team and SMEs.

  • Write initial drafts and iterate with SMEs and the marketing team to meet the goals and objectives of the content, consistent with product differentiators and brand guidelines.

  • Ensure content is optimized for SEO.

  • Collaborate with design to finalize content.

  • Continuously measure and improve content performance; create reports leveraging Google Analytics, HubSpot, and social media analytics tools.

  • Push the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels, including championing the increased use of data visualization.

  • Grow Slope’s subscriber base.

  • Maintain and update Slope’s Google My Business account.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline

  • 3-5 years of content marketing and direct copywriting experience

  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it

  • Thorough knowledge of content marketing strategy and channels

  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be persuasive

  • Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills

  • An uncompromising approach to meeting deadlines with proven performance in deadline-oriented environments with tight timelines and a high volume of work

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage your time daily

  • Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with counterparts in a cross-functional capacity

  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results (traffic, leads, sales, etc.)
