What we're looking for

We are looking for StubGroup’s new Paid Media Director!

This is a remote (work-from-home) position.

Candidates should possess:

  1. Advanced knowledge of Google Ads and other Paid Media platforms and how to create and manage profitable campaigns for e-commerce and lead-generation businesses.

  2. Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of Account Managers.

You will lead a team of Account Managers, holding them accountable for the performance and experience they are providing to their clients, answering their questions, training them, and making sure that they are constantly improving their skillsets.

You will also work directly with our highest-value clients as their primary point of contact. You will be responsible for managing those client relationships, as well as overseeing the execution of their paid media campaigns (sometimes via delegation to team members, and sometimes via hands-on management).

Additionally, you will work closely with StubGroup’s CEO and other senior management at StubGroup to make sure that we are providing excellent service and performance to our clients. This will include collaborating with our other marketing services teams to ensure we are collectively taking an integrated, holistic approach to the work we are providing each client across our various services.

Compensation

Compensation for this position starts at $7,000-$8,000 per month, contingent on experience and expertise.

Requirements for the ideal candidate

Google Ads Knowledge: Superior proficiency in Google Ads is essential. You will be directly managing and overseeing high-value Google Ads campaigns for lead generation and e-commerce websites. You must be expert at using the Google Ads interface and Google Ads Editor, and have an advanced understanding of campaign structures, bidding strategies, conversion tracking, etc.

Marketing Strategy: Your responsibility is to learn about each client's business, including their products, target audience, and more. Your goal is to guide clients toward strategies that maximize the profitability of their ad campaigns. Whether it's recommending website changes or addressing a client's fixation on low click-through rates at the expense of website traffic quality and conversion rates, it's your job to educate them on more effective metrics for evaluating campaign success.

Problem-Solving: Our company values self-sufficiency and resourcefulness. We expect team members to "figure it out" and take initiative, rather than asking questions that could have been answered independently. Of course, we're here to provide support when you genuinely cannot solve a problem on your own. The expectation is that you will consistently go above and beyond, overcoming obstacles instead of letting them hinder your progress.

Leadership: You will be leading a team of Account Managers. You need to be proactive at helping them be successful in their roles, identifying problems before they escalate, deescalating problems that have occurred, identifying and filling their knowledge gaps, etc.

Make sure you’re comfortable with:

  • Remote working: This is a remote (work-from-home) position.

  • A trial period: All job offers start with a 60-day trial to make sure that we’re the right fit for each other.

  • Communicating with business owners who don't understand how Google Ads works.

  • Consistently juggling a large number of concurrent tasks and properly prioritizing how to handle them.
