Together, we share a mindset of development and ownership. We invest in each other’s growth, encourage learning at every level, and take true ownership of our work and outcomes.

We enable thoughtful decision-making, protect the business’s financial health, and directly support Sundays’ growth and long-term success.

  • Assist with revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and subscription activity as applicable

  • Maintain schedules for fixed assets, depreciation, and prepaid expenses

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies and controls

  • Support automation and system integrations between ERP, order management, WMS, and payment platforms

  • Contribute to process documentation, continuous improvement, and scaling of accounting operations as the business grows

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed

What you’ll bring

  • 3–6+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience, preferably in eCommerce, retail, or consumer products

  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles

  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold in a product-based business

  • Proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots, large data sets)

  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or similar

  • Exposure to eCommerce platforms and payment processors strongly preferred

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Self-starter mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

About Sundays for Dogs

Sundays for Dogs is a founder-led, direct-to-consumer brand reimagining pet food so dog owners can spend more quality time with their dogs—now and later. We make human-grade, air-dried food that supports long, healthy lives, and we build our company around shared core values that guide how we work and how we treat each other.

We’re headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, with a primarily remote team of ~50 full-time employees across the U.S. While we work distributed day to day, we come together in person on a quarterly basis because relationships matter. Our business today is 100% DTC, with our subscription model at the core of how we serve customers—and we’re building to scale with intention. We’re just getting started.
