Social Media/Marketing Intern

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

Are you a clever, pithy writer who loves a good social media caption? Do you curate your own social handles with painstaking care? We are looking to take on the social media world, showing off the mic-drop moments we create. We’re looking for a social media intern who knows what’s new – and what’s next – in social media platforms and audiences. You know the lingo and the danger zones and understand the delicate balance of pushing the envelope while protecting a brand. You’re comfortable writing in headlines and bullet points. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and can work independently when needed. 

  

YOU SHOULD HAVE 

• Genuine interest in social media marketing 

• Basic familiarity with workplace productivity tools (Office, Google, Slack, Canva) 

• Great time management skills 

• Demonstrates creativity and immersion in social media best practices 

• A solid and honest understanding of what you’re good at, and what you'd like to work to 

improve 

• Good communication skills (Written, verbal, and/or visual) 

• Innate desire to work and play hard 

• Insatiable curiosity, and at least a few tools for how you get answers to questions (in general)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Social Media intern is responsible for assisting in a range of marketing initiatives. Your duties may include tracking analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules, content, and writing captions for social media posts. 

  

• Assist with design and execution of social media campaigns 

• Assist with creation and distribution of content such as blogs, videos, and press releases on 

social media 

• Track and monitor social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns 

for scalability 

• Perform social media marketing research 

• Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms 

• Brainstorm and research ideas for original content 

• Write social media captions that speak to our target audience 

• Ensure brand message is consistent 

• Track analytics across social platforms and report on findings
