The Data organization develops infrastructure, statistical models, and products using IoT data. Our Scientists and Engineers work together to make data—and insights derived from data—a core asset across the company. What you'll do

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for acting on tools and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life-cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates. The right candidate will also be a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Apply DevOps engineering practices that will generate security, speed, and quality on software deliveries

• Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools

• Diagnose complex problems that affect the performance of our solutions

• Ensure reliability and scalability of our product

• Support data-driven technical decision-making

• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and perform hands-on development and unit testing

• Perform technical design and code reviews to maintain high-quality and secure software

• Prepare technical project documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience

• Intermediate/Advanced level on any of the scripting languages: python, bash, etc

• Experience in Continuous Delivery & Continuous Integration (Github Actions)

• Prior exposure to IaC Infrastructure as a Code using Terraform

• Cloud Computing proximity (AWS)

• Being comfortable working on container orchestration (AWS ECS)

• Contact with observability tools, such as grafana, datadog, AWS cloudwatch

Bonus Points

• Previous proximity with Cassandra and/or Kafka

• Proximity with microservices environments in a Kubernetes ecosystem
