The Opportunity:

The Director, Performance Marketing will lead the development and execution of data-driven marketing strategies aimed at maximizing ROI across all performance channels. This role requires a curious outside-of-the-box thinker with a test-and-learn approach, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of digital marketing and media trends.  Your success will be measured on results and your ability to motive, lead and mentor a high-performing digital marketing team. We are looking for someone passionate about performance marketing and staying ahead of industry trends. This role will report directly to the Head of Marketing.  

How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for the full funnel. 

  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, including search engine marketing and paid social media specialists. Provide guidance and support to ensure team success. 

  • Manage the digital marketing budget effectively, allocating resources to various digital channels and campaigns to maximize ROI.   

  • Oversee and optimize various paid media channels,  including pay-per-click (PPC) and display advertising, to drive targeted traffic and conversations. 

  • Use analytics tools to monitor and measure the performance of digital marketing campaigns. Make data-driven decisions and adjustments to optimize campaigns for better results quickly. 

  • Support social media content program with strategic paid media support. eting campaigns to nurture leads, retain customers, and drive conversions. 

  • Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies, and implement new technologies that can improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Collaborate cross functionally with sales, product development and IT to ensure alignment of digital marketing efforts with overall business objectives. 

  • Generate regular reports on digital marketing performance and present findings, analysis and recommendations to senior management. 

Your Expertise:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, with a track record of successful strategy development and implementation. 

  • Strong expertise in key performance marketing channels such as Google Ads, programmatic advertising, and affiliate marketing. 

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and other marketing platforms. 

  • Excellent quantitative & analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data and make data driven decisions. 

  • Proven experience managing and developing high performing teams. 

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization. 

  • Strategic thinker with a hand-on approach. 

  • Adaptable and open to new ideas and technologies. 

  • Highly organized with exceptional project management skills.

Base Salary: $141,000 - $216,000
