As a Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing, executing, and managing paid search campaigns to achieve TrueCar’s marketing and business objectives. You will be responsible for maximizing ROI and ensuring our ads appear prominently in search engine results pages (SERPs).
How you will contribute to TrueCar’s success:
Develop and implement effective SEM strategies to meet business goals.
Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
Create and optimize ad campaigns on platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other PPC networks, writing compelling ad copy and design ad creatives.
Set up and manage tracking and analytics tools for campaign performance monitoring.
Manage keyword lists and continually optimize them for relevancy, using keyword match types effectively to control ad targeting.
Monitor and adjust bidding strategies to maintain cost efficiency while achieving campaign goals.
Implement A/B testing for bid adjustments and landing page optimization.
Analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics and PPC management platforms and generate regular reports to provide insights and make data driven decisions.
Collaborate with web designers and content creators to improve landing page quality and user experience. Implement A/B testing and other CRO techniques to maximize conversions.
Improve ad quality scores to reduce CPC and improve ad rank, optimizing ad relevance and landing page experience.
Keep up to date with SEM industry trends, search engine algorithms, and best practices, recommending and implementing new SEM techniques and technologies.
Recent experience managing SEM campaigns in Google Ads in an agency or corporate environment.
Advanced analytical and data interpretation skills.
Automotive industry experience highly preferred.
Experience managing and pacing a $1M+ monthly ad spend.
Certification in Google Ads or other relevant SEM platforms is a plus.
Proficiency in using keyword research and analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Salary: $72,000 - $110,000
