
Account Manager
Reports to: Director of Business Development
The Account Manager at WebDevStudios will serve as the liaison between WebDevStudios and our clients. The Account Manager is part of the business development team that helps oversee the delivery of services for project pods. The Account Manager maintains relationships with client stakeholders from sale throughout the life cycle of a project.
The Account Manager’s core priority is working toward achieving one of our core goals of client success and guiding the customer experience for all clients. The Account Manager will work daily in addressing clients' needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong partnerships and work toward client satisfaction. Account Managers will typically work with multiple accounts varying in size, from smaller monthly retainer accounts to larger one-off project accounts.
Goals of the Account Manager
Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships – your goal is to both build and retain our client accounts.
Act as the main point of contact in any circumstance relating to client concerns and needs – this means partnering with the project team when necessary to make swift executive decisions that will lead to client satisfaction.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client business records, tracking contract renewals, new project contracts with existing clients, addendums, etc.
As a member of the business development team, work with project management, strategy and engineering as needed – this means you are a team player and consider team success when making decisions.
Develop a knowledgeable understanding of WebDevStudios products and service offerings to better sell to new clients and upsell and cross-sell to existing clients.
Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for potential sales leads, new and existing clients.
Develop close relationships with our clients in order to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value from our products and services.
Engage with clients to ensure they’re receiving services and products that are of interest and are within their budget and meet their needs.
Develop a knowledgeable understanding of WebDevStudios products and service offerings to better sell, upsell, and cross-sell.
Generate progress reports as needed to review the status of accounts with internal stakeholders.
Run the sales process for new sales and scope new client needs.
Communicate daily with clients and WDS team members over email, Slack, phone and video chat. Use common software programs such as Word, Excel, Panda Doc and Hubspot.
Responsible for communication to the team regarding all new, upcoming projects, as well as renewed retainer agreements.
Requirements
You are experienced working in a customer-facing role and comfortable discussing budgets, timelines, and project requirements.
Ability to build trust with our clients to secure long-term relationships.
You have a proven track record of positive customer feedback.
You are effective at problem-solving, conflict resolution, and context-switching.
You are motivated by impact, whether it is achieved by creating client success, helping the team work through a challenge, or working with some of the most valued clients in the world.
You get things done while being proactive when possible to mitigate client concerns.
You have the ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously – this is important as you will be managing multiple accounts.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills – you are willing to jump on a meeting with a client to discuss challenges as they arise.
You have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
