What We’re Looking For

We are on the hunt for a talented, multi-disciplinary Content Marketing Writer to join our in-house Creative Marketing team. The right candidate has 3-5 years writing and content marketing experience in the B2B tech industry. They excel at writing a range of content across the buyer’s journey including developing thought leadership content that requires research, interpreting SME and product information as well as technical information, to successfully craft compelling and persuasive content that resonates with our target audience on a global level.

 

You will partner with graphic designers, product marketing, demand generation, partner marketing, communications, sales, and external agencies to conceptualize, and produce content elements of integrated marketing campaigns, including but not limited to web pages, customer stories, digital ads, eBooks, blogs, datasheets, emails, videos, and print assets.

 

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has a minimum of 3-5 years B2B tech/SaaS company experience and a shareable portfolio of content they have developed

  • Has a strong understanding of the B2B buyer’s journey and the content that engages buying teams throughout their journeys

  • Is a highly motivated creative thinker who demonstrates success at crafting innovative, engaging, optimized content for all digital and print assets

  • Has a solid background creating long-form and short-form content across multiple channels, for multiple audiences/personas

  • Understands how to author clear, on-brand copy that aligns with a company’s voice and tone

  • Has a proven track record of producing global creative content through research, input from SMEs and customer interviews for advertising and marketing campaigns

  • Writes for a well-defined set of personas, crafting messages that resonate in an authentic way

  • Is a self-starter and leader in their own role who can work autonomously while managing projects independently

  • Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment while bringing new ideas and perspectives to our content strategy

  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to add value to the team

  • Embraces change and iteration while seeking feedback to create better work tomorrow than they create today

  • Adapts to shifting timelines and excels at time/project management, contributing to multiple projects at the same time without missing a beat

  • Thinks differently and asks “why” to ensure the big picture of messaging, copy and visuals combined tell powerful stories that tie back to our strategy and resonate with our target audience

  • Has a “no task is too small attitude” and is enthusiastic when it comes to editing and proofreading marketing content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy

  • Understands the value of A/B testing, analytics, and SEO while ensuring that content is optimized for various device form factors across multiple channels

Responsibilities

  • Crafting impactful copy for webpages, emails, blogs, eBooks, datasheets, customer stories, digital ads, webinars, videos, and thought-leadership content on a variety of topics relevant to our audience, while adhering to best practices

  • Interviewing and engaging with SMEs about technical topics to find compelling way to creatively communicate it to the market

  • Researching topics and partnering with SMEs to author creative content for integrated marketing campaigns spanning web, digital collateral, social, video, and print

  • Mentoring and guiding other team members to help improve their writing skills while critiquing their work with constructive feedback

  • Identifying, curating, and disseminating content that speaks to our specific products, use cases, and audiences while ensuring its structured for SEO

  • Ensuring all deliverables meet brand message guidelines and quality standards while adhering to our creative team process

  • Providing constant communication on active projects to ensure deadlines are achieved

  • Working under the direction of the Creative Director to define priorities and sustain a high-delivery cadence of critical projects

Requirements

  • 5+ years of content marketing experience, with at least 3 years in the B2B technology space, including writing, editing, and planning for digital with an in-house creative or marketing team, established digital agency, or online media publication

  • Excellent writing skills; ability to write and tailor in different styles/tones

  • Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices

  • A flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to switch gears quickly working with multiple products and team

  • Passion for developing and implementing innovative content and campaigns

  • Well organized, creative story teller, collaborative, and deadline-oriented

  • Ability to prioritize, work quickly, multi-task, and under tight deadlines with a strong attention to detail

  • A solutions-oriented mentality with the ability to think differently and be a creative problem solver

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Familiarity/experience with A/B testing copy to improve conversion

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Asana (or a similar project management tool)

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, etc.), MS Office, PPT, and Asana is a plus

 

Travel

  • 10% as needed to attend customer events and periodic team meetings.

 

Education

  • BA in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or related discipline preferred
