About the Role

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for meeting service level agreements with clients. In doing so they will own key functions including Program Management, Onboarding, Customer Support, Recruiting, Human Resources, Finance, and Legal.

An effective individual in this role is able to balance budget requirements against resources needed to effectively support the clients and maximizing the retention rate of them. 

This includes developing effective processes for understanding the scope of client requirements and tracking of client deliverables on an ongoing basis. They are a master at looking at relatively unstructured problems that can span multiple clients and internal teams and pull them together in coordinated processes.

They will work closely with Sales & Marketing to understand the client funnel and pair that with the financial plans and recruiting plans to ensure we are appropriately pairing our hiring pipeline with new clients being onboarded to the team.

An effective leader is documentation-oriented and writes down key processes and playbooks for teams to follow to improve organizational efficiency. They make these processes visible to key internal stakeholders on engineering, product, design, sales, marketing, and to clients. 

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the financial model working with key finance and leadership partners

  • Build and own the hiring pipeline including compensation benchmarking in coordination with key leaders in sales, engineering, marketing, product, and design

  • Implement and develop effective pre-client onboarding and onboarding processes to manage client deliverables while maintaining SLAs

  • Run post-mortems to identify root cause analysis for how issues occurred and how to improve organization

  • Create a high-functioning program management organization for sales and engineering to improve revenue and retention rates of clients

  • Develop the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for in collaboration with sales, marketing, and product.

  • Own the pricing and packaging of Alpha 

Desired Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in sales strategy and operations

  • 5+ years of experience building centralized processes 

  • 5+ years building cross-functional strategies that span multiple teams including sales, marketing, product, engineering, and design

  • Deep fluency in SaaS pricing and financial modeling

  • Lead pricing and packaging strategy to maximize MRR/ARR of clients while minimizing churn rates and leading to increased client adoption of services

  • Ability to develop effective hiring plans, employee retention strategies to ensure we are effectively staffing support and executional parts of the organization to service clients

  • Experience partnering with sales and marketing to lead effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies
