The goal of this role is to drive pipeline, closed-won revenue, brand outcomes, and customer connections, through meaningful hosted and partnered in-person events

Some of what you’ll do: We are looking for one leader with a wealth of experience in field marketing who brings their own playbooks and opinions into the formation and direction of this new marketing discipline at Apollo. So please consider the below as more “guidelines” than a set book of work. Guidelines that, through collaboration and research, will create a generational customer marketing machine to accompany the generational product we are building at Apollo.

Potential projects:

  • Formulate the field marketing strategy at Apollo

  • Build metrics reporting, tracking, with the goal of getting fast ROI and scaling this team ASAP 

  • Build a pipeline of happy customers to showcase at events 

  • Worth with design to create booths and strategies for trade shows 

  • Drive user generated content 

  • Work with partnership and community to find partners for events and drive sponsorship revenue 

  • Build automation into our sales process to easily drive people to events 

  •  Support our ABSM motion by building relationships with strategically placed customers 

  • Work with community to drive sponsorship revenue from events 

  • With with product education to drive customer education at events 

  • Manage and scale a team once the ROI story is clear 

  • Travel the country hosting events, being hosted at events


  • 5 years of experience running events or other equivalent experience

  • Understanding of how a sales funnel works

  • Ability to work with sales and CS

  • Highly logistically minded, able to deal with logistics for events, including travel, lodging, etc, for others

  • Ability to network and create sales opportunities personally

  • Ability to operate well under fast-pace environment

  • Strong presenting skills, in person networking skills


  • Formulate the field marketing strategy at Apollo Build out our strategy for our own hosted events, partnered events, and trade shows 

  • Build a process to involve customer advocates in events (getting them speaking roles, etc) 

  • Build a process and train sales on how to drive revenue from events

  • Drive user-generated content leading to at least 750,000 impressions via user-generated content by EOY 

  • Support key customers through brand building, social love, etc. leading to an increased upsell rate or decreased churn rate at core customers 

  • Drive at least 1.5 million in pipeline by EOY

  • Maintain a 3x expenses to CW revenue ratio for all events that do have an explicitly stated goal that is outside of CW revenue

  • Support our ABSM motion by building relationships with strategically placed customers at events 

  • Drive at least $100,000 in closed-won sponsorship revenue by the end of the year
