Acquisition Marketing Manager

The Acquisition Marketing Manager is responsible for Paid Search (SEM), Display, and upcoming progressive marketing programs and processes. In short, this role is for a pioneer. Someone that is in search of new growth opportunities, looking to lead digital strategy and advertising platform management in partner with marketing leadership, and other marketing and cross-functional partners. This individual must be prepared to test, learn, and adapt to the market, with our customers and products at the center of their focus. 

The Acquisition Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and continuously improving paid marketing programs that support customer acquisition and retention. As Acquisition Marketing Manager, you’ll contribute to the development and iteration of our digital marketing reporting and measurement frameworks. You’ll utilize trends and key insights to support recommendations to marketing leadership for strategy and process changes. The Acquisition Marketing Manager will effectively communicate data and findings to stakeholders, and execute sequential  strategies with internal and external partners, holding responsibility for the efficiency and effectiveness of our paid acquisition initiatives and digital marketing campaigns.

What you will do

  • Execute, measure, and optimize marketing programs that build brand awareness, drive lead acquisition, and brand growth through Paid Search.

  • Manage the process behind initial SEM and Display customer acquisition, strategizing between landing pages, copy, creative, and platform placements. 

  • Drive strategy and maintain performance to goal for Search Engine and Display Marketing in both Google and Bing. 

  • Manage day-to-day paid acquisition initiatives within SEM and Display - creating, optimizing, and managing all paid search initiatives alongside internal stakeholders and external partners (paid search agency).

  • Collaborate with Creative, Campaigns, and CRO teams in order to create messaging and user experiences that reflect the Articulate product’s excellence to potential customers and emerging persona markets. 

  • Partner with the marketing analytics team to create reporting that measures the performance of affiliate marketing programs. 

  • Report on performance of paid acquisition strategies,  deriving insights from analysis of data, and make recommendations on areas for testing and optimization

  • Manage the communication of paid acquisition performance  with a data-driven mindset.

  • Proactively communicate with peers and leadership on plans, progress, and problems

What you should have

  • 5+ years of experience in SaaS marketing, with strong familiarity in paid acquisition

  • Hands-on experience executing, optimizing, producing results, and communicating strategy across  SEM and Display campaigns on Google and Bing, and their integration to other areas of marketing.

  • Experience developing strategy for Search Engine Marketing programs

  • Experience executing and analyzing performance of Search Engine Marketing programs, and how they relate to other forms of paid and organic advertising

  • Familiarity with core digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Ads Manager, Microsoft Ads Manager, Google Tag Manager, etc.

  • Strong analytical skills and an interest in reporting and data analysis

  • Comfortable working with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Looker
