Strategic Finance Associate

🚀 The Role

We’re hiring a Strategic Finance Associate to own the financial infrastructure, modeling, and analytical rigor that support Cadence’s growth and operational decision-making.

You’ll work closely with the FP&A Manager, CFO, and cross-functional leaders across clinical, operations, and data teams. This role sits at the center of how Cadence plans, measures, and scales — translating complex financial data into decisions that affect care delivery for 100,000+ patients.

📋 What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain Cadence’s FP&A infrastructure, including evaluation and implementation of a planning tool, scalable financial models, and performance dashboards

  • Identify and automate manual financial workflows using AI-enabled tools, scripting, and modern automation platforms

  • Develop frameworks for tracking cost of care, operating expenses, and contribution margins across health system partners and programs

  • Support preparation of board materials, investor updates, and leadership reporting with models and analyses that underpin growth and scalability narratives

  • Execute monthly and quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis; partner with Accounting during month-end close for accurate outputs

  • Build pricing models to support sales and partnership teams, developing recommendations on pricing and unit economics over time

  • Partner with Data and Engineering to ensure financial metrics are consistently defined, reliable, and connected to clinical and operational drivers

✅ What You Need

  • 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or finance at a high-growth company

  • Strong financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, with ability to structure analyses from scratch and translate data into actionable insights

  • Experience working with large datasets and building reporting processes that surface business drivers clearly

  • Familiarity with FP&A or planning tools, or BI platforms such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau

  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership and proactive recommendations

  • Fluency with AI productivity tools (Gemini, Notion AI, or similar) and comfort applying them to structured workflows, reporting, and documentation

💰 Compensation

  • Base salary: $115,000 – $140,000 (depending on experience, skills, seniority, and business needs)

  • Eligible for equity as part of total compensation package

  • Actual compensation may vary by location

🎁 Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive pay & equity*

  • Fully remote

  • Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision)

  • Paid time off

  • 401(k) plan + matching

  • Paid parental leave

  • Home office stipend

\*Benefit offerings may vary depending on job profile, level, and worker type
