Director, People Services

The Role:

We are looking for a Director of People Services to lead strategic and tactical people service delivery initiatives across Cerebral. The ideal candidate is interested in architecting an exceptional employee experience and excels in a dynamic, fast-paced, data-driven environment. As a member of Cerebral’s People Leadership Team, you will be a trusted advisor to leaders across the org, and will be accountable for driving a range of high priority initiatives for Cerebral, including maintaining and optimizing People Systems (UKG), overseeing company benefits programs, managing vendors, upgrading administration of people services, and deploying best practice programs that delight employees and foster a high-performance, high-empathy culture at Cerebral. You will lead, build, and develop a team that currently includes a Sr. HRIS Analyst, Benefits Manager, and People Operations Specialist to support your mandate and key objectives. 

Who you are

  • BA/BS degree in a related field; Masters degree in HR, HR Management, or Business Administration is strongly preferred

  • 8+ years of professional experience working in HR Shared Services, HR Administration, HR Systems, HR Operations, or related disciplines; prior HR Generalist experience preferred

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are preferred, but not required

  • Experience managing an HRIS is required; UKG experience strongly preferred

  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining compliant HR processes and policies 

  • Deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations

  • Experience leveraging technology and data analytics to inform People insights and strategy

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Effective coaching and facilitation skills; ability to advise and influence colleagues at all levels of the organization

How your skills and passion will come to life at Cerebral:

  • Lead People digitalization strategy, business process mapping, service delivery model, HRIS, and self-service tools 

  • Manage employee data, prepare reports on key metrics, and perform People analytics to inform strategic decision-making

  • Manage operational administration of core People processes across the hire-to-retire lifecycle 

  • Manage continuous improvement process for the People Services group; iteratively drive prioritized changes to services and processes

  • Oversee company benefits strategy and administration (medical / dental / vision, 401k / retirement, life / disability insurance, leaves, etc.)

  • Manage People Operations Specialists to drive culture-building and employee engagement initiatives (including offsites, all-hands, engagement surveys, deploying swag, etc.)

  • Collaborate with the broader People team to champion and accelerate a culture of inclusion and excellence - in which employees feel engaged and inspired to deliver mission-aligned results

  • Cultivate and foster internal relationships with key business leaders to advance the People Services delivery strategy and agenda

  • Drive vendor selection & vendor management for People function

The national base salary range (OR the national hourly range for nonexempt positions) offered for this position is outlined below.  Cerebral is committed to equal pay for equal work; however, business reasons may dictate variations in pay that are attributed to objective factors, such as geography, candidate's qualifications, and supply and demand. Total compensation includes base salary and may include an annual performance bonus and equity/stock options. 

National Base Salary Range (could be increased by 10-20% based on cost of living)

$180,000—$200,000 USD
