Role

We are excited to be on the hunt for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as our new Technical SEO Specialist.

In this role, you will work with the central tech SEO team, conduct audits on various sites, report issues, and organize fixing them with various parties

Core Tasks

Perform audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Lumar, and JetOctopus.
Go quickly through the crawl data and spot the critical issues.
Export, organize, and present issues to key stakeholders, some of whom are not from the technical SEO field.
Determine which parties will handle which tasks.
Open and follow Jira tickets for devs (and know how to speak with devs), send editorial issues to content editors (and know how to speak with content editors), and fix the rest manually / programmatically.

Essential Requirements

Be familiar with the best technical SEO practices, schema markup, robots.txt, sitemaps, and all that jazz.
I have experience with crawlers such as Screaming Frog, Lumar, OnCrawl, and JetOctopus, but mainly with Screaming Frog.
1-3 years of experience in technical SEO is a must
Solid knowledge of on-page SEO is a bonus.
Knowing your way around the WordPress backend
Willing to learn and move fast, willing to do manual tasks
Be familiar with the whole dev/staging/prod cycle and dev ticketing system

Ideal Person

Knowledgeable on Tech SEO, but also willing to learn new things quickly. Willing to move fast, proactive, willing to own tasks, and take the initiative. Also, very responsible and ready to do manual tasks if necessary.
