AI Production Designer
Collier.Simon is an independent, full-service creative agency based in Los Angeles/Hollywood. We partner with clients — from Fortune 500 household names to fast-growing up-and-comers — to develop creative that moves the needle. We're in the midst of a tech-powered transformation, using AI to supercharge creativity, not replace it, and we're looking for curious minds ready to push what's possible.
The Innovation Hub is where bold ideas meet real-world impact. We prototype, build, and scale intelligent systems that automate repetitive work and create new efficiencies — combining cutting-edge tech with creative thinking to help teams work smarter, faster, and aim higher.
About the Role
We're looking for a production designer who has genuinely made the leap into AI-powered workflows — not someone dabbling at the edges. This role is the operational backbone of our creative production pipeline: responsible for managing AI-enabled workflows, enforcing file standards, and ensuring assets get out the door at the quality and speed our clients expect.
You'll need to work efficiently and largely independently — especially given the remote nature of the role. We need someone with strong systems thinking, real production instincts, and the judgment to know when something isn't working and fix it proactively.
You Might Be a Fit If You…
Are a production designer first — you know file standards, version control, resizing matrices, and delivery specs inside and out
Think in systems and at scale — component libraries, design tokens, large asset libraries with many sizes and variants, not one-off bespoke pieces
Have good judgment, not just execution — you can recognize when an image or layout doesn’t work at a given size or placement, and you proactively swap or adjust rather than jamming the square peg in the square hole
Have real AI fluency — your skills go beyond just generative fill and basic image generation. You have experiance working with video tools, possess genuine prompting skill, and you currently rely on multiple LLMs for concepting, problem-solving, and copy support in your actual daily workflow
Can coordinate and stay organized across teams and accounts
Are organized to a fault — naming conventions, folder structures, and file hygiene are second nature
What You’ll Do
Support and manage AI-enabled production workflows across all agency accounts
Maintain and enforce file standards, naming conventions, and production processes in Figma
Handle template and toolchain management — building, updating, and scaling production systems
Execute version/weight file resizing across platforms and specs
Oversee automation pipelines for repetitive production tasks and proactively flag opportunities for new ones
Run delivery QA to ensure all assets meet specs and brand guidelines before handoff
Coordinate with creative teams across accounts (including Jack in the Box, Experian, QuickBooks, and others) to keep production moving
Maintain and improve documentation for all production workflows and systems
Requirements
3–5 years of traditional production design experience in an agency, studio, or in-house creative environment
Figma expertise is mandatory — components, auto layout, design libraries, and production-ready file organization
Demonstrated AI fluency, specifically:
Real prompting skills for generative image tools (e.g., Midjourney, image models) and video generation tools
Comfort and competency with ChatGPT or other LLMs for concepting, ideation, problem-solving, and copy support
Uses AI materially in production work, not just experimentally
Familiarity with Adobe Firefly or Photoshop Generative Fill alone does not meet this bar
Strong understanding of file formats, resolution requirements, and platform-specific delivery specs
Proven ability to manage production across multiple brands and accounts simultaneously
Comfort working in Adobe Creative Suite alongside Figma
Must be available to work standard PST hours
Bonus Points If You…
Can think creatively about how to re-approach your work with AI, not just speed it up — you have opinions and ideas about improving workflows
Are familiar with Figma plugins and embedded AI tools
Have experience in high-volume production environments with fast turnarounds and multiple stakeholders
Can write or modify basic automations (Figma plugins, scripts, or workflow tools)
Have experience with motion graphics or video production pipelines
Understand brand guideline systems at the OEM/franchise/dealership level
What We Offer
A collaborative, forward-thinking creative culture where craft, experimentation, and systems thinking are all valued
Fully remote work environment with PST-based hours
Full-time salary and benefits including healthcare, 401(k), generous PTO, and professional development support
