The lifecycle program is a critical component of our marketing strategy as subscriptions and repeat orders drive a significant part of our growth plans Our team is looking for a lifecycle marketer to primarily focus on optimizing our recurring revenue across all our customer segments. Our program requires thoughtful partnership with our merchandising and supply teams to provide the optimal personalized experience for our customers. You’ll be coming up with A/B tests, and working with a cross functional team to bring personalized and automated strategies to market. You’ll be rigorously measuring your impact while focusing on driving lead conversion and retention.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own executing, testing, creative and messaging plan of the Email and SMS initiatives (both Marketing Campaigns and Triggered Flows) to optimize revenue from Crowd Cow’s core customer segments.
Project manage new email initiatives to completion, measure and communicate results and next steps and integrate winning initiatives into the core program.
Function as a key stakeholder in promotional and seasonal campaign planning
Mapping out customer journeys and increasing revenue per customer order
Own email personalization and automation roadmap for lifecycle marketing overall.
Drive new customer and membership lead conversion within triggered emails and SMS.
What You’ve Done
You have developed a lifecycle marketing strategy (including email, SMS) that grew active users and LTV at a direct to consumer company
You’ve contributed directly to a data-driven, growth marketing team at an early to mid-stage startup.
You can accurately measure your impact on engagement, revenue, activation and retention in previous roles.
You have tested/launched creative email and SMS campaigns highly focused on personalization to drive engagement and revenue
You’ve owned lifecycle testing roadmaps across email and SMS programs to systemically optimize for engagement and retention.
You’ve helped drive automation within a lifecycle marketing team to drive efficiency and scale.
You geek out over the awesome emails and text messages you receive from direct to consumer brands.
You’ve implemented and scaled a successful referral program to drive meaningful growth (5-10% of total new customers)
You’ve operated in a fast paced environment and steadily taken on more responsibility
You’re driving the customer experience for us, but you have already developed great intuition based on prior experience
Basic Requirements
Strong writer - you write marketing gold
Customer-obsessed - you are relentlessly curious about the customer journey
Strong spreadsheet and written skills
Strong analytical skills with AB testing competency
Proven background managing email, SMS and/or lifecycle marketing
You can build a solid business case and clearly articulate your assumptions
Make decisions based on the customer experience while driving growth in KPIs
Highly creative thinker and problem solver
Compensation: The starting base salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 annually. This critical role is also eligible for equity as part of the total compensation package.
