Total Rewards Analyst

We’re looking for an enthusiastic numbers-loving teammate to join our Total Rewards group as we scale globally and implement new compensation strategies across DigitalOcean. Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards and as part of a team of analysts, you will play a key role in driving meaningful compensation programs and people analytics aligning to DO’s organizational goals and plans for growth. You’ll be charged with handling both day-to-day compensation operations as well as supporting project plan execution for total rewards programs.

What you will be working on:

  • Review, approve, and escalate compensation related changes in Workday, our HRIS

  • Take responsibility for ensuring accuracy of all compensation data in Workday by conducting routine audits, validating data prior to EIB uploads

  • Own all Radford salary survey submissions for annual base pay, turnover, sales commission, and budget studies

  • Prepare and distribute employee compensation letters to our management and PBP teams for both ad-hoc and large scale initiatives 

  • Partner cross functionally on workforce reporting to ensure headcount alignment between Finance and People

  • Serve as first point of contact (think: the face of TR!) for employee inquiries related to compensation, analytics, and equity; collaborate with our PeopleOps, People Business Partnering, OrgDev and Talent Acquisition teams to resolve employee questions

  • Demonstrate project management capabilities by playing a role in our first ever Advanced Compensation cycle in Workday by contributing to the year-end compensation timeline, communication plan, manager training guides, status reporting, and more

What we expect from you:

  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment where change and ambiguity are common 

  • A passion for streamlining data entry, system implementations, and finding ways to make our teams more productive and collaborative

  • Experience with HR tooling (ATS, HRIS, Benefits, Payroll) is a plus

  • Strong commitment to becoming a super user of our people systems, and a champion in best practices and data integrity

  • Commitment to handling confidential workforce data with trust, diligence, and sensitivity

  • Excellent organizational and administration skills, experience with Google Drive, Gmail, and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets

  • We reward our employees. The base salary range for this position is between $40,000-$60,000 based on relevant years of experience and skills. The salary range for this role is specific to candidates located within the U.S. and will vary for candidates outside the U.S.. Employees may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees including grants of equity upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
