Senior Recruiter

Equis is a set of organizations (including Equis Research, Equis Institute, and EquisLabs) working to create a better understanding of Latinos, innovate new approaches to reach and engage them, and invest in the leadership and infrastructure for long-term change and increased engagement.

Since 2019, we have served as a hub for Latino research and innovation, leaning into the complexities of Latino voters in the United States, ensuring they get the sophistication of treatment and level of attention that matches their critical role in the electorate. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the People, Talent & Culture (PTC) Director, the Senior Recruiter plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring talented candidates to fuel the next stage of Equis’s growth. The Senior Recruiter will serve as a brand ambassador for Equis and ensure a positive candidate experience reflective of Equis’ mission and values. The successful Senior Recruiter candidate will be experienced in full cycle recruiting, ATS management and coaching hiring managers on recruitment best practices and interview techniques.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily full-cycle recruitment for open roles including drafting job descriptions, position requisition approval, posting jobs, sourcing, reviewing resumes, crafting interview questions, following up with candidates, checking references and extending offers.

  • May assist with scheduling interviews.

  • Prepares interviewing, hiring and selection materials.

  • Develop relationships with hiring managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications.

  • Coach hiring managers throughout the hiring lifecycle.

  • Foster high-touch relationships with candidates and provide a positive candidate experience, keeping candidates informed about their application status and providing feedback as needed.

  • Support the development and execution of Equis’ talent acquisition strategy, including employer branding, hiring programs, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, partnerships with key organizations for future talent pipelining and training programs such as Interview training.

  • Builds and maintains new recruiting connections with partner organizations, especially those with a commitment to DEI.

  • Provide regular recruitment metrics and reports to management, outlining progress, challenges, and recommendations.

  • Use BreezyHR applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage talent pools, track candidate progress in real time and ensure a streamlined recruitment process.

  • Leverage multiple talent sources to design innovative recruitment strategies.

  • Stay up to date on employment laws, employer trends, salary benchmarks, and recruitment best practices to ensure an effective and inclusive hiring process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant recruitment experience

  • Demonstrated success in advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all stages of the recruitment life cycle.

  • High degree of adaptability and ability to move in a fast paced, evolving environment.

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish at a conversational level.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), Google Workspace and other recruitment tools.

  • Understanding of labor laws and regulations related to hiring practices.

  • Analytical mindset to evaluate candidate qualifications and advise on hiring decisions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience recruiting for political organizations and nonprofits

  • BreezyHR (ATS) experience

  • Clickup experience

  • Fluency in Spanish, reading, verbal and written.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times

  • The ability to communicate with colleagues, partners, and clients via phone, video call, and email

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Equis is a national remote office environment with team members located across all continental U.S. time zones. Candidates should be prepared to either work from home or a location of their choosing that is located within the continental United States. Equis has implemented a pro vaccination policy, subject to exemptions. Candidates must be willing to follow the established policy to prevent and limit the exposure of COVID-19.

This position requires the ability to work core hours Monday through Friday in your local time. This position will require occasional nights and weekend work and some in-person attendance for all-staff or department level events, approximately 2 per year, which require overnight travel.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a fully remote (USA only), full-time position, Exempt with occasional domestic travel and a competitive salary range of $90,000- $115,000/year. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of what Equis may pay for this position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as budget availability and commensurate with the selected candidates’ experience. This position is currently funded through 2025.
