The Opportunity 

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Email Marketing Specialist with 1-2 years of Marketo experience to join our fast-paced, high-growth marketing team. This junior-level role is perfect for someone eager to grow their career in email marketing and thrive in an environment that handles a high volume of campaigns. You will be responsible for executing email campaigns efficiently, building workflows, and supporting our lifecycle marketing efforts to ensure the smooth delivery of large-scale email communications. The Email Marketing Specialist will play a key role in keeping our email programs running at the speed and accuracy needed to support key prospect and customer initiatives as we continue to scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Email Campaign Execution: Build and execute email campaigns in Marketo, including the setup of programs and emails, as well as scheduling campaigns.

  • Template & Email Creation: Assist with the creation of responsive email templates, dynamic content, and personalization within Marketo.

  • Campaign Testing: Conduct A/B testing on email content, subject lines, send times, etc., to optimize performance.

  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key email metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.), and prepare performance reports to help drive insights and recommendations.

  • Workflow & Automation: Assist in building and maintaining email automation workflows to support various lifecycle stages, including engagement and retention.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager and other cross-functional teams (demand gen, campaign ops, design, etc.) to ensure emails are aligned with brand guidelines and campaign goals.

  • Compliance: Ensure email campaigns adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.

The Skillset 

  • 1-2 years of experience working with Marketo, preferably in an execution-focused email marketing role. Experience with Salesloft/Outreach and SFDC is a plus.

  • Understanding of email marketing best practices, including segmentation, A/B testing, deliverability, and reporting.

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize while executing a high volume of campaigns.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Familiarity with email compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) is a plus.

  • Passion for data-driven marketing and continuous optimization.

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as an Email Marketing Specialist at Flock Safety. 

The First 30 Days

At the end of 30 days you understand the current state of our email marketing programs and related projects, and you’re helping launch campaigns for your internal stakeholders. You should begin to have an understanding of our Marketo instance and lifecycle strategy.

The First 60 Days 

By day 60, you’re building and launching email programs from scratch using our templates and best practices. You’re also taking the lead on other related projects to help enhance and streamline our email outreach efforts, including managing our email calendars, email images, and token library. 

90 Days & Beyond 

After 90 days, you’re now the owner of the entire email request process. You’re building email campaigns with little to no guidance from lifecycle management, and you’re beginning to report and analyze campaign performance. 

The Interview Process 

We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way. 

  1. Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are. 

  2. The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field. 

  3. The Technical Assessment: Our technical assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day. 

  4. The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners. 

  5. The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $70,000-$85,000 as well as stock options
