About the Role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is focused primarily on outbound prospecting to gain access to prospect accounts and channel partners while managing our inbound lead flow. Successful BDRs excel in time management, prioritization, and partnering with BDR and cross-functional colleagues. Our ideal candidate is someone who is optimistic, resilient, and prepared to weather the ebbs and flows of a sales role. You Will

  • Manage and own inbound lead process with sense of urgency

  • Research prospects and identify key contacts

  • Educate, qualify, and develop contacts to generate sales-ready leads and opportunities via outbound prospecting

  • Nurture early–stage pre-qualified opportunities to progress toward qualification

  • Develop and execute on cold calling and email campaign strategies to qualify potential customers as a match for Forma’s products and services

  • Identify beneficial relationships with consultants to help strategize new sales opportunities 

  • Partner with the marketing team to drive interest in Forma’s solutions with events and promotional resources 

  • Monitor and maintain new and existing account information in Salesforce

  • Follow monthly metrics to achieve goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met

  • Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of our product, services, industry trends, and competition

  • Partner with account executive on account strategy/planning 

  • Assist in following up on marketing events (webinar, event, etc) via phone/email

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to leverage business acumen to articulate value proposition to prospective customers

  • Proven success of working in a collaborative team environment

  • Flexibility & adaptability in a rapidly changing environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Bonus Points

  • 1-2 years of sales experience 

  • Experience in Salesforce or related CRM

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Passion for technology and a high level of integrity
