
Compliance Officer

We are looking for a Compliance Officer who will be responsible for overseeing, implementing, and managing our overall compliance framework across all relevant regulations and internal policies. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our operations adhere to legal standards, mitigate risks, and uphold the highest levels of integrity. The ideal candidate will help align our compliance practices with organizational objectives while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and consistency across all departments.
Key Responsibilities and tasks
Ensure that the Company complies at all times with all regulatory requirements under the laws of Seychelles, including but not limited to the Securities Act and the VASP Act.
Respond to compliance- and AML/CTF-related enquiries as they arise.
Monitor and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures and procedures in place, and the actions taken to address any deficiencies in the Company’s compliance with applicable AML laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Conduct ongoing monitoring of procedures and processes to ensure a high standard of service delivery to clients.
Oversee and manage the complaints-handling procedure.
Work with the Company’s management to establish corrective measures for any violations or breaches identified through risk assessments.
Provide support and guidance, as necessary, to the various departments within the Company to ensure full compliance.
Prepare and conduct ongoing training for employees.
Review, establish, update, and/or amend the Company’s policies, manuals, and any legal documents as required.
Maintain and update required registers, as necessary.
Oversee AML and CTF matters, including reporting suspicious activities and monitoring onboarding and transaction-related procedures.
Liaise with regulatory authorities, as necessary, on any compliance or AML/CTF-related matters.
Perform any other duties, as required by the Company, to support and promote a strong compliance culture.
Job Requirements
Previously approved by FSA as fit and proper
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in compliance, AML/CTF, or regulatory roles within the financial services sector.
Experience working in or with Securities Dealers, VASP entities is strongly preferred.
Experience in handling regulator interactions, inspections, and submissions.
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Economics, or another related field.
It is an advantage/an asset to have any of the below professional certification:
ICA Certificate/Diploma in AML or Compliance
ACAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist)
CAMS-FCPA, CGSS, or equivalent compliance certifications
Strong understanding of Securities regulation applicable to Securities Dealer licences and VASP regulatory frameworks and AML/CTF risks
Excellent analytical and risk-assessment skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting policies, reports, and regulator correspondence.
High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement, and maintain strict confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement corrective actions effectively.
