Email Marketer

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Email Marketer to own the execution of our email campaigns from start to finish in Klaviyo. You’ll take our pre-developed email marketing calendar and bring it to life with copy, design, testing, segmentation, and reporting. If you love turning strategy into compelling, revenue-driving emails, and know your way around Klaviyo and Shopify like a pro, we want to hear from you.

Work Style and Collaboration

  • 16-25 hours per week

  • Must be available for 2 weekly meetings: one focused on execution, and one on strategy (which days are flexible).

  • Should bring a flexible mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

  • Expected to develop a deep understanding of our products, customers, and industry to write and build with confidence.

  • Open to feedback and eager to grow with the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Build, test, and deploy emails using pre-set calendar, promotions, and content themes. Maintain brand voice and visual consistency.

  • Email Copywriting & Design: Write clear, conversion-oriented copy and design clean, responsive emails (drag-and-drop or HTML/CSS).

  • Segmentation & List Management: Maintain clean lists, create audience segments, and ensure compliance with deliverability best practices.

  • Automation Flows: Build and maintain automation (e.g., abandoned cart, welcome series, post-purchase) using Klaviyo.

  • A/B Testing: Run experiments to improve open, click, and conversion rates.

  • Performance Reporting: Monitor campaign metrics and report on performance insights and optimization opportunities.

  • Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with the owner and marketing team to ensure email campaigns support larger product launches and sales initiatives.

  • Shopify Integration: Sync product data, collections, and tags with Klaviyo for dynamic content and automation triggers.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in email marketing, preferably in eCommerce.

  • Proven expertise in Klaviyo (flows, campaigns, segmentation, analytics).

  • Strong understanding of Shopify and how it integrates with Klaviyo.

  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate content creation, brainstorm copy ideas, generate subject line variations, and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.

  • Excellent copywriting skills and a strong eye for design and layout.

  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email formatting and troubleshooting.

  • Solid understanding of email deliverability, compliance, and performance benchmarks.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple timelines.

  • Strong communication and self-direction—you’ll work autonomously but collaboratively.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with Canva, Figma, or other light design tools.

  • Experience in the quilting, crafts, or handmade goods space.
