Senior Digital Project Manager

Job title: Senior Digital Project Manager

Manager: Director, Project Operations

The Senior Digital Project Manager brings their knowledge and experience to assist with the departmental standards and practices. You will be responsible for working with marquee clients. You will also be serving as a mentor and leader to the other project managers in the department. Your position sets an example as to how project managers are supposed to operate.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead multiple project teams simultaneously through the entire project lifecycle.

  • Act independently and judiciously to ensure that your projects are completed within scope, on time, and on budget whenever possible.

  • Co-develop (with team members) project timelines, and monitor and adjust them as necessary while communicating with the team members and the client as changes occur.

  • Lead project meetings, take meeting notes, and clearly communicate those notes back to the project team at the end of the meetings.

  • Manage cross-functional teams, including creative and technical resources in multiple geographic locations.

  • Adhere to best practices with internal/external teams.

  • Communicate clear project timelines, including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to both internal teams and the client.

  • Define resources for new projects.

  • Project Execution Management:

  • Provide weekly status updates to management, internal team and clients.

  • Manage project scope and risks.

  • Identify and work to mitigate risks as necessary.

  • Work with the Sales team to support any work change orders.

  • Organize a retrospective of each project completion and appropriately log lessons learned.

  • Provide relevant information and support to the operations department to facilitate client invoicing.

Leadership:

  • Work with the Directors by administering departmental standards and actively seeking out new training and educational initiatives.

  • Teach project management skills that are required for the successful planning, execution, delivery and support of projects.

  • Exercise good judgment. Show trust in your team members by knowing when to delegate tasks and when to maintain tighter control.

  • Be enthusiastic and cool under pressure. Show that you are committed to your goals and the goals of the department in a positive manner that inspires others.

  • Know what appropriate leadership style to use during each phase of team development.

  • Know how to work with the different personalities involved and bring them together as a cohesive and highly functioning group as a team builder.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in best practices for both Linear (Waterfall) and Agile project management.

  • Expert understanding of web technology as well as best practices in both UX and digital graphic design.

  • Solid understanding of project management processes including requirements development and management, scope definition and management, communication management, budget management and reporting, resource management, risk identification/management and client engagement.

  • Extremely competent in the uses of project management software and how to effectively use it to coordinate project tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills with department and cross-department teams.

  • Intelligent, creative problem solver.

  • Demonstrate the ability to properly assess and mitigate risk.

  • Ability to remain calm and in control under pressure and to calm others under stress.

  • Ability to coordinate between multiple groups of project stakeholders in multiple locations.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills that you can share with the team.

  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner.

  • Be a strong team leader.

  • PMP certification and Experience with Craft CMS is highly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience
