Social Lead (Video Gaming)

Heaven Media is a marketing agency which delivers campaigns globally. We operate solely within the gaming and esports industry with specialist knowledge and experience within this market. Our core services are events, sponsorships, influencers, social media, creative services (video production and photography), paid media, computer equipment hire and public relations.

We’re a small social team with big ambitions for growth, we’re looking for someone experienced to join us to effectively lead our team and business forward to develop within the social media space, this primarily focuses on brands activating social channels to help them market to gamers.

We want someone hungry, ambitious with a solid pre-existing network of further social professionals (freelancers and potential full-time hires) to join and scale with us. We expect the candidate to not be afraid to be hands on initially and able to lead the team by example, whilst having significant experience in line managing others. Above all else, you’ve managed some rockstar social media accounts within your career.

You will lead a team to effectively carry out assigned social media duties on client accounts. The main indicator of your success in this position will be the effective leadership and management of the team, industry leading social content, as well as developing the internal social team workflows, processes, and systems to continually improve the team’s effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage internal social teams, including social media (inclusive of paid media, albeit a lesser focus).

Accountable for consistent growth, innovation, and creativity across social accounts

Supervise and manage all aspects of social media planning for our clients

Supervise and manage all aspects of paid social advertising (via existing experienced team members)

Manage the Social Team globally, and act as the main operational and HR POC

Manage delivery of social media strategies across our clients in multiple regions and languages using a multilingual team (focus on English, German & French)

Manage delivery of social media strategies across our clients on multiple platforms, inclusive of Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Facebook, Snapchat and further emerging platforms.

Conduct performance appraisals for team, and in turn ensure any direct reports understand how to conduct performance appraisals for any of their team members.

Evaluate current Social Team processes. Create process benchmarks and implement improvements to these team processes necessary

Liaising with clients for project development, as well as weekly strategy consultation

Coordinate with Account Management, Business Development, and Creative Strategy Teams for new business requests and active campaign project planning

Accountable for quality control of all deliverables performed by social team

Overseeing client reporting and regularly assessing KPIs and presentation of reports

Manage and approve contractor invoices and billing

Verify and approve supplier purchase orders in coordination with Project Planner

Supervise and manage social aspects of business development ideation and creation in coordination with the Account Management Team and Project Planner

Accountable for management of all social media and content competitions, including creation and localisation of any necessary Terms and Conditions

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to travel internationally and hold a current passport

Ability to work autonomously, under pressure, and meet deadlines
