Sr. Communications Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for an excellent writer and project manager to join Lyra’s corporate communications team. The right candidate is passionate about both data-driven and human-centric storytelling. They will be a master of connecting the dots across teams and platforms to develop exciting and cohesive stories across the company. The role will report into our Director of Executive Communications and support both c-suite and subject matter experts in communicating internally and externally. The person in this role should have an appreciation for the complex landscape of mental health issues and be interested in immersing themselves in understanding the audiences we serve, including clients receiving care, the providers delivering that support, and employers looking to expand benefits for their teams. Additionally, the right individual should be eager to apply a DEIB lens to all work. Individual identity is a core component of mental health, and the ideal candidate can blend sensitivity with a passion for advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Surface stories from across Lyra and our customers to share and amplify

  • Writing presentations, talking points, social media posts and more 

  • Refine and define the Lyra voice in partnership with the content team 

  • Ensure messaging is consistent across campaigns

  • Supporting Executive Comms in coordinating all-company meetings

  • Work with analytics and research teams to find and storify powerful data points

  • Supporting people team initiatives on employee engagement to ensure alignment between internal and external messaging

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of communications, journalism or other writing experience 

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Keen eye for detail, including attention to word interpretation

  • Strong project management skills with desire and instinct to work cross-functionally

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment

The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000-130,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location.

 

At Lyra, base salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which additionally may include discretionary restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, and retirement benefits. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
