RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the profitable growth of retention channels, including but not limited to Klaviyo’s pop-up, flow, campaign planning, and segmentation. You will also own results that entail subscriptions, memberships, and mobile app performance.

  • Write briefs and ensure the rest of the team can execute on it

  • Complete reports with a high degree of accuracy, checking against multiple data points

  • Analyse campaign metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of email marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.

  • Collaborate with technical, design, and content teams to create compelling and engaging email content, ensuring brand consistency and messaging alignment.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, new features, and best practices in retention marketing and Klaviyo to continuously optimize campaigns.

  • This is a client-facing role. So you must be able to consult clients and solve business problems, far beyond the email platform.

  • Prioritize the development of relational equity with your team and clients to foster lasting relationships for the continued growth of CTC and our client businesses.

SET THE STANDARD | Strategists seek to set the definition of best in class for the agency. They set the pace for the team and the clients with their preparation, proactivity, and thoughtfulness when it comes to the creation and communication of strategic objectives.

  • Committed to making decisions informed by data, not opinions

  • Take pride in arriving to meetings prepared with insight to contribute

  • Organize your time and say “no” appropriately so that you can attend to what is most critical

  • Committed to challenging the status quo and approaching failure with curiosity about how to improve

  • A strategist’s word is trustworthy; you do what you say you will

  • High emotional intelligence including a unique combination of humility (willing to do the dirty work), ambition (vision for what your future holds), and empathy (identifying and caring for teammates and clients’ driving forces).

  • Strategists are the leaders of their teams and clients. You coach, guide, and nurture others so they level up. You don’t need to play with politics.

DRIVEN TO INCREASE VALUE | Strategists exist to turn marketing strategies into financial outcomes. You are uniquely positioned to oversee the platform-specific performance across multiple channels. Strategists leverage the resources at their disposal to help clients decide how to best spend their next marketing dollar.

  • Excited about the complexities of a business and love identifying solutions to growth problems. Both your team and your clients will look to you to point them in the right direction.

  • Passionate about building brands for the next generation

  • Clearly articulate your expertise so that even a beginner can understand the concept

  • In the habit of documenting and reporting your work

CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF EXCELLENCE | Strategists foster an environment for exceptional people to excel on their team. They proactively communicate expectations to get the most out of their team and clients. Strategists take on the role of educator and learner at all times establishing themselves as a Strategy expert while allowing space for consistent growth as the industry evolves.

  • An insatiable curiosity, and an inability to leave a problem alone (no matter how complex) until you’ve found one or many different potential solutions.

  • Seek opportunities to refine your skills without being prompted

  • Desire to inspire others with your excellence and expertise

  • Willing to put in the reps to be an expert in your domain

  • Resist the temptation to play the victim; instead, you take 100% ownership over outcomes
