Strategic Sourcing Manager

The Task at Hand

The Strategic Sourcing Manager supports the development of sourcing strategies that strengthen supply chain resiliency, enable long-term sustainable growth, and support direct sourcing opportunities across the supply chain. This role develops insights, conducts analysis, and builds tools that inform sourcing decisions aligned with our mission to deliver high-quality, nutritious, and safe foods for babies through big kids.

Working cross-functionally with Procurement and Operations, and in close collaboration with Quality, R&D, Sustainability, and Marketing, this role ensures sourcing strategies protect product integrity, meet ingredient and regulatory standards, and support efficient, scalable operations.

In This Role, You Will

Sourcing Analysis & Strategy Enablement

  • Conduct global category analyses for key ingredients

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret supplier, market, and financial data to support sourcing strategies and long-term supply planning

  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, certifications, and regulatory developments affecting organic and sustainable supply chains

Supplier Performance, Sustainability & Qualification

  • Develop and analyze supplier scorecards incorporating quality, cost, risk, and sustainability KPIs

  • Partner with Sustainability, Procurement, and Quality to monitor supplier performance and track corrective action plans

  • Support supplier identification, qualification, and onboarding

  • Drive supply scalability aligned with brand standards for transparency, organic integrity, nutrition, and sustainability commitments

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations for onboarding new suppliers

  • Partner with Innovation and R&D to provide supplier insights for new product development

  • Support Sustainability initiatives by collecting and tracking supplier data

Sourcing Execution & Commercial Support

  • Support sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) through data analysis and bid comparisons

  • Prepare financial models, benchmarks, and scenario analyses to support negotiations

  • Assist in evaluating cost, risk, and value trade-offs across sourcing options

Reporting, Tools & Process Development

  • Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, templates, and documentation

  • Present sourcing strategies and risk assessments internally and to senior stakeholders

  • Document sourcing processes to enable consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement

In This Role, You’ll Bring With You

  • BS in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Sustainability, Operations, Food Science, or related field

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain analytics, or operations (food, beverage, agriculture, or ingredient industries required)

  • Experience managing organic, sustainable, or ethically sourced supply chains

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools

  • Experience building financial models and TCO frameworks

  • Ability to translate data into clear insights and executive-ready materials

  • Approximately 15–20% travel required for supplier visits, conferences, and company meetings

  • Must reside in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)

  • Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition and contributing to a mission-driven environment

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 (based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location)

  • Full-time, salaried, exempt role

  • Eligible for bonuses, stipends, and role-specific perks
