Digital Marketing Specialist

YOUR ROLE:

The Digital Marketing Specialist works closely with a team of project managers, clients, and internal production team, and reports directly to our Digital Marketing Manager. As the key day-to-day person for digital campaigns, you are responsible for creating and implementing our client's paid ad campaigns; measuring, updating and optimizing campaigns; and reporting on the performance of digital campaigns through weekly/monthly/final reports. The Specialist also helps the team make informed decisions by staying up-to-date with digital trends, digital media developments and competitive insights that may impact current and future operational tactics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, execute, and update integrated digital strategies and PPC campaigns, including paid search, paid social, video, display advertising, and other programmatic platforms

  • Manage campaign optimization by analyzing campaign performance, user data, and run hypothesis-based tests to evaluate performance

  • Set up accounts and analytics for Meta and Google Ads Accounts

  • Perform keyword research, which includes discovery and expansion

  • Ensure proper website tagging and tracking implementation

  • Perform competitive analysis and research new opportunities that support client growth

  • Address client requests for ad updates, mockups, questions, and concerns in a timely manner

  • Ownership of the campaign performance

  • Deliver monthly reporting for clients and for internal use. This includes campaign KPIs, insights, and recommendations

  • Work independently and with our team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies

  • Engage and collaborate with project managers, clients, sales team, and management to set a strategic direction

  • Write clear and concise ad copy based on approved key messages

  • Research and stay up-to-date on digital tools and trends

QUALIFICATIONS 

Technical Skills:

  • 2 - 3 years of PPC experience with proven knowledge of campaign setup, ad creation, keywords research and expertise in paid channels including display, social, search and video campaigns

  • Strong understanding of campaign KPIs, budget management, and optimization techniques for Google Ads and/or Meta Ads

  • Detailed understanding of practically applying PPC marketing principles

  • Experience with Meta and/or Google Ad Managers

  • Intermediate spreadsheet skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets for reporting, data visualization and ad-hoc analysis

  • Experience with HTML and proper tag management

  • Excellent verbal and writing skills, including copywriting ability; English fluency is required  

  • Excellent email etiquette 

  • Comfortable with remote work tools and ability to learn systems quickly (ClickUp, Notion, Google Suite, Slack, etc.) 

Soft Skills: 

  • Very strong attention to detail — we handle a lot of campaigns and ads for clients, so we need someone who is meticulous with their work. You also have an eye for catching errors when you proof campaign updates and prepare client reports   

  • Excellent time management skills — you are able to juggle competing demands from multiple clients, meet deadlines and manage your own schedule

  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented

  • Enthusiastic attitude towards managing multiple assignments

  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions and solve problems under pressure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Team-oriented — you’re willing to step in if team members need help

  • Learn quickly and independently; seek opportunities to extend and deepen learning
