Full Stack Engineer (Front End Focused)

At Praktika.ai we are on a mission to deliver efficient and engaging learning experiences for billions of students worldwide by bridging the gap between learning apps and human tutors.

We have done this by creating a fully automated language tutorship experience powered by generative AI Avatars.

After raising $30 million in Series-A funding, we are growing and looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join us! We are a global small team of 40 innovators who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in language learning and tutoring.

In this fast-paced environment we like independent self-starters who can work well in a team as well as unassisted and who enjoy the working environment of an early-stage startup.

We are fully Remote and can hire across Europe!

What you'll do with us: 

We are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to help lead the development of our Web-based onboarding experience for our new users. This will focus on intuitive user interfaces and optimizing conversion rates.

This position will develop adaptive, animated, mobile-first layouts that offer a seamless user experience across different devices and screen sizes. It will also collaborate with backend developers to integrate with internal backend services, authentication providers, and payment gateways.

This role will involve collaborating with all teams here at Praktika, from Product and Marketing to Onboarding and Customer Success, to set up tracking tools and work on optimizing conversion rates.

What we are looking for from you:

• Typescript experience is a must with experience with React: hooks, contexts, Fiber/Reconciliation, memoization, component splitting.

• Methodologies for designing interface components: atomic design, feature sliced design.

• Knowledge of the following tooling: Typescript, Zod, TanStack Query, Wouter, Storybook, Stylus/CSS.

• Ability to build applications in Vite, Rollup, or Next.js. Understand which one is best suited for what, and how to optimise the bundle. Which will potentially reduce the time to deliver a feature to production.

• Code style: Prettier, ESLint, Stylelint.

• Knowledge of Docker would also be a good addition.

• Experience with Node.js and building of API services.

• Experience with Python would be beneficial
