We are building our best-in-class operations team to be both the mitochondrial engine of our rapidly expanding ecosystem, but also the cytoplasmic glue that keeps us all cohesively and efficiently connected -- working together to improve human and planetary health. 

You will report to our Operations Manager and directly support the Director of Operations & Operations team in protecting our micro-organisms and ensuring that our customers enjoy an absolutely seamless experience across our current and future products. You are a problem solver. You have monk-like patience and can remain calm in the eye of the storm, while quickly, but methodically, finding a way to safety and balance. You are a great listener, embrace finding solutions while others panic, and will not rest until you understand every detail that caused an issue, and have implemented a redundant, risk-free system to ensure it never occurs again. 

We know operations can mean a lot of things, which means you need to be ready for, and excited to solve, anything. You know that Murphy’s Law is the poetry of growth and innovation, and not something to be feared. You understand the complexities and nuances of our business, and how to move projects and key improvements cross-functionally across various internal stakeholders. You can prioritize, manage, and successfully drive fixes across hundreds of projects at once. You work nimbly within a network of suppliers and partners respectfully, while holding them accountable down to the tiniest promises they make to Seed and our customers.

What You’ll Do

  • Be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations across our Supply Chain, operational partners, and key cross-functional stakeholders through the direct ownership of operational tasks & reporting that are core to Seed’s operation. 

  • Build & maintain reporting to assess the health of our operation & organization across operations performance, COGs, and member experience. 

  • Own the effective and timely movement of inventory across Seed’s network of suppliers, manufacturers, and operational partners. 

  • Strengthen Seed’s operational foundation through the creation of processes and procedures to refine our operational flows across inbound and outbound freight, fulfillment, and internal stakeholders across member experience, growth, & others. 

  • Conduct audits to dive deep into the performance of our operation and the experience of Seed’s members to identify key opportunities for improvement & optimization. Communicate findings & proposed next steps from these audits effectively and concisely. 

  • Support in building and maintaining detailed records of freight + logistics movements while managing landed cost unit economics. 

  • Troubleshoot logistical issues that impact the customer experience. Work across e-commerce, supply chain, and member experience teams to track, prioritize, and solve the most pressing problems of our booming business.

  • Support the direct management of our distribution and fulfillment partner(s), to ensure a high quality experience for every one of our customers, down to the tiniest detail. 

  • Work closely with our purchasing and warehousing teams to ensure appropriate & accurate inventory levels across our partners and warehouses. 

  • Maintain internal system & data integrity through meticulous management of ASNs, inbound receiving, invoice validation, and day-to-day transactions across the supply chain

  • Support various multi-disciplinary operational initiatives across supply chain, member experience, impact + sustainability, and e-commerce.

You

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, or supply chain management

  • At least 2-3 years of operational experience across fulfillment, distribution, and international inbound/outbound logistics 

  • 1-2 years experience in working with cross-functional vendors 

  • Exceptional written & verbal communication

  • Experience with ERPs (Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Other) 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, GSuite, Data analysis

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • Highly detailed, data-driven, extremely organized

  • Demonstrable experience working individually or in smaller teams that have scaled

  • Thrive in cross-functional, team-based environments

The annual pay range for this full-time position is $80k-$120k + equity + benefits across all US locations (this position is 100% remote-US). Our pay ranges are guided by discipline, level and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including: your specific location, desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience and advanced education/ training.
