The Role
We’re seeking an Art Director to join the marketing team. As a key member of our growing team, you will report to the Associate Creative Director of Design and will play a key role in translating concepts and ideas into visually compelling and effective communication. As an Art Director you will demonstrate your design and conceptual abilities to deliver best-in-class creative across all marketing assets.
Responsibilities
Have a clear understanding of design principles and create impactful designs to improve conversion rates across channels and overall creative performance
In partnership with the ACD, continue to refine and elevate the art direction of design and innovate the visual communication of SimplePractice’s brand
Develop visual design for all creative channels, and drive the design direction to successfully meet marketing goals and elevate SimplePractice customer experience.
Execute upon creative to support marketing campaigns that delivers on goals and business objectives
Accomplish multiple creative projects simultaneously across all platforms through effective collaboration with cross-functional partners
Design website updates, landing page experiences, email, print and marketing campaigns.
Work collaboratively across the marketing & brand to deliver creative that is consistent in brand strategy, visual identity across all touchpoints while innovating and pushing creative ideas.
Create strategic and compelling visual concepts, and creative assets that drive business growth and propel our brand forward
Conceptualize and create omni-channel multimedia that emotionally resonates, are visually impactful and tells a compelling story
Work independently, solve problems, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners in high-pace situations and while managing multiple projects
Develop and pitch creative concepts for full-funnel campaigns
Design engaging campaigns and brand collateral for growth channels like emails, videos, paid social and media content, direct mail, OOH, and much more.
Implement feedback that pushes the work forward while also making recommendations on strong design directions and decisions.
Desired Skills & Experience
6-8 years of design experience in house or at an agency
Preferably based in the Los Angeles area or on the west coast
Advanced knowledge of design principles including visual hierarchy, negative space, repetition, contrast, balance and alignment, proportion, typography and color theory.
Advanced in Adobe Creative Suite, and experience in Figma
Design mentorship experience, managing fast-moving timelines, and people
Ability to align with SimplePractice’s visual brand identity and aesthetic
Strong portfolio of digital design work and extensive experience in digital advertising
Extensive knowledge of best practices for both web and pre-press print execution is a plus
Experience in generating or directing concepts for making content (photo/video/social)
Social and paid media experience a plus
Base Compensation Range
$100,000 - $120,000 annually
Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission and equity. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
