About the Role
As an Account Manager at SketchDeck, you’ll own a portfolio of strategic client accounts valued at approximately $4M in annual revenue. Your primary focus is building strong, long-term client relationships that drive account health, retention, and sustainable growth.
You’ll develop a deep understanding of your clients’ business, goals, and priorities, allowing you to proactively identify opportunities, navigate challenges, and ensure they’re getting the most value from their partnership with SketchDeck. Working closely with Project Managers, Creative Leads, and Business Development, you’ll connect client needs with the right solutions and help turn successful engagements into lasting partnerships.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, thinking strategically about their clients’ business, and partnering across teams to deliver an exceptional client experience.
You will report to the VP of Accounts.
What You’ll Do
Account Health & Client Strategy (50%)
Own a portfolio of client accounts totaling approximately $4M in annual revenue
Lead onboarding for new accounts, converting project-based clients into long-term retained partnerships
Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for the overall account and long-term partnership.
Develop a deep understanding of each client's business strategy and goals and connect it directly to the work SketchDeck delivers
Lead monthly check-ins, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and ongoing strategic conversations with senior client stakeholders
Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and client needs before they become issues.
Revenue Growth & Retention (20%)
Own revenue forecasting for your portfolio, tracking performance against targets
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts, proposing projects, retainers, and new initiatives aligned to client business goals
Lead renewal communications for every account in your book
Re-engage dormant accounts and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities in partnership with Business Development
Cross-Functional Partnership (20%)
Partner with Project Managers, Creative Leads and Business Development on new accounts to deliver a seamless client experience
Clarify client briefs and ensure projects stay oriented toward business impact, not just task completion
Surface client context and feedback that helps delivery teams do better work
Contribute to how SketchDeck structures and evolves its approach to client partnerships
Team & Operations (10%)
Partner on account planning and resourcing discussions
Share client learnings and best practices across the account team
Contribute to the continued evolution of how SketchDeck manages and grows client relationships

Requirements
Required
7+ years of account management or client services experience within a creative, design, or marketing agency
Experience owning and growing accounts with responsibility for retention, renewals, and revenue growth
Strong understanding of creative and digital delivery, with experience partnering closely with project, creative, or production teams
Collaborative by default; you share context freely, flag issues early, and don't need to own the room
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead business conversations
Preferred
Confident and credible with senior executives and CMO-level stakeholders; clear and direct in writing and in the room
Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Workfront, or similar
PST or CST time zone preferred

Base salary: $110k
On-target commission: $20k
Total OTE: $130k
