Account Executive - Enterprise Sales

Stitch is a payments infrastructure company on a mission to make it easier for enterprise businesses to connect to the financial system and build better experiences for their customers.

We are expanding the team to enable Stitch to broaden our product offering and extend our geographical footprint.

The Role: We are looking for an Account Executive - Enterprise Sales in South Africa to support and complement our growing sales team led by our Chief Revenue Officer. Your focus will be net new revenue, and you will be responsible for managing the entire enterprise sales cycle from start to finish, including sourcing customer leads, conducting initial conversations, and finalising agreements with key customers.

As part of our Enterprise Sales team, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning new customers from legacy solutions to our enterprise payment solutions. You will work closely with customers to design and implement solutions that meet their specific needs and deliver sustained value.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Source prospects and leads in South Africa, working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer.

  2. Develop strategies for prioritising, targeting, and closing key opportunities. Manage the entire enterprise sales process, from initial outreach to closing the deal.

  3. Perform account planning for assigned accounts, coordinating with relevant internal teams and other resources to ensure strategic alignment.

  4. Understand our customers' needs and help them achieve their business goals using Stitch.

  5. Initiate and drive the sales of Stitch solutions within enterprise prospects. Develop relationships with new customers, focusing on deal management and connecting customers with Stitch solutions.

  6. Negotiate deals with a variety of C-Suite Executives to close opportunities.

  7. Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data using our CRM software.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven work experience in Enterprise B2B sales, in account executive, or business development roles.

  • Experience in selling to large enterprise businesses, managing complex sales processes across multiple segments, and developing differentiated messaging and sales approaches across different target segments.

  • Ability to understand and explain technical products and interact with both highly technical and business-savvy B2B customers.

  • A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience using CRM software to track deal progress and indicate next steps.

  • Ability to quickly establish trust with key stakeholders.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Advantageous

  • Strong network and content knowledge in the local fintech or banking space.

  • Experience selling to other financial technology companies or online businesses in need of payments or data products.

  • Experience working in B2B SaaS, API, or payments companies.
