VP of Marketing at The Agile Monkeys

About The Agile Monkeys:

The Agile Monkeys is a software boutique with over 75 people and we keep growing. We do two things:

  1. We create products: We are a very creative team that is constantly pursuing new ideas and projects we love. Now we are focused on building products related to search and AI. We take great joy in tackling the challenges of AI associated with scalability and information retrieval.

  2. We deliver bespoke consulting solutions to leading enterprises, driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Why join us?

  • We’re independent and self-funded, so we get to build what we believe in — no investor politics

  • You’ll join a radically creative, fast-moving team that values ownership and experimentation

  • We work globally, but our roots are in the Canary Islands 🌴 — remote-first, international, and human-centered

  • We’re entering a hyper-creative phase in AI and product development — and we want your brain in the mix

About the position:

As VP of Marketing, you won’t just execute campaigns — you’ll help shape the strategy behind them. You’ll support shaping the strategy to define how we position our brand, segment our audiences, and grow our presence across channels. You’ll contribute to the marketing roadmap, challenge assumptions, and guide how we use tools, data, and creativity to scale what works. This role requires both strategic thinking and operational excellence — someone who can zoom out and see the bigger picture, then build the systems to make it real.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Lead & execute our growth strategy across both the consultancy and product studio

  • Contribute to the long-term marketing strategy in collaboration with the CMO and business leadership.

  • Design and run campaigns across digital, social, and content — aligning with business goals

  • Implement and scale marketing systems for lead generation, nurturing, and analytics

  • Manage a mix of internal contributors, freelancers, and agencies

  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and talent teams to align messaging and audience

  • Use AI and modern martech to optimize campaigns, content creation, and reporting. Identify and test new marketing channels, partnerships, or tactics that align with our brand and growth goals.

  • Shape and evolve our brand voice and presence, internally and externally. Help evolve our positioning and messaging to keep us relevant and differentiated in a fast-moving industry.

  • Set and track KPIs and marketing ROI — and iterate constantly

  • Stay hands-on in tools: Hubspot, GA4, Notion, Figma, Webflow, and emerging platforms. Stay ahead of the curve on AI marketing trends, recommending and piloting emerging tools or frameworks.

  • Analyze market trends, customer segments, and performance data to inform strategic priorities and campaigns.

What is required in terms of APTITUDE:

  • 6+ years in marketing or growth roles, ideally in fast-growing B2B or product-led companies

  • Experience with startup-style execution: fast-paced, creative, and analytical

  • Proven track record leading brand and acquisition efforts with real impact

  • Fluent in performance marketing, content strategy, and email funnels

  • Strong grasp of unit economics, campaign budgeting, and optimization

  • Confident working with AI and automation tools to enhance content and workflows

  • Strong project management and team coordination skills

  • Excellent written communication in English (C1+)

What success looks like

  • Clear, repeatable marketing systems are in place — from lead gen to reporting

  • Our brand voice and visibility are sharper, bolder, and more consistent

  • Website traffic, lead volume, and engagement show consistent growth

  • AI tools are effectively integrated into our marketing workflows

  • Teams across the company feel supported by a clear, proactive marketing function

  • The Agile Monkeys is known not just for our work, but for how we tell our story
