Associate Director, Growth Marketing (B2B)

About the Team  

The College Board Marketing team is organized into Growth Marketing teams for three of our priority programs: BigFuture, Advanced Placement, and the SAT Suite of Assessments. These teams build, execute, and optimize extensive multi-channel campaigns. We’ve built a reputation for our attention to detail, focus on audience experience, and data-driven approach to delivering the right message at the right time to the audiences we’re trying to influence.  

The BigFuture Growth Marketing team’s primary focus is expanding access to post-secondary opportunities by connecting students with colleges, scholarships, and careers. We engage students, their parents, and higher education enrollment leaders to drive usage and adoption of our key programs and services including College Board Search, Student Search Service, as well as the free tools and resources on BigFuture. Our work is particularly collaborative and cross-functional, partnering with colleagues in Product, Sales, and across the Communication and Marketing Division to meet our goals.    

   

About the Opportunity   

As the Associate Director of BigFuture Growth Marketing, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering integrated, cross-channel marketing campaigns to promote our higher education enrollment programs – including College Board Search. You’ll own a subset of marketing channels and activities to grow adoption and usage of the service among higher ed, with a focus on communicating new products and enhancements. You will work with team members to develop clear and engaging content, route materials for review, ensure that marketing activities are completed on-time, and report out on campaign performance. 

In this role, you will: 

Content Creation - 50%  

  • Develop College Board Search product marketing content and campaigns (email, paid media, web/blog, direct mail, and video)  

  • Identify creative new ways to get critical—and sometimes complex—messaging in front of recruitment and enrollment leaders  

  • Support in the creation of sales enablement tools like flyers, one-pagers, FAQ guides, and testimonial content 

 Campaign Execution - 35%  

  • Work closely with the Recruitment and Enrollment Solutions (RES), BigFuture Product, and Marketing Operations teams to design, develop, and manage communications and marketing campaigns that help achieve organizational goals

  • Effectively project manage efforts across various teams using internal project management systems

  • Lead the content review and approvals process  

  • Represent the concerns and needs of higher education professionals within and on behalf of the broader marketing team 

Performance Analysis - 15%   

  • Track and analyze campaign effectiveness through Salesforce Marketing Cloud dashboards and Adobe Analytics Workspaces 

  • Leverage quantitative/qualitative data sources to drive recommendations, using insights obtained from market research, user analytics, client segmentation and best practices —and centralize learnings for other team members

 About You  

Requirements: 

  • 4+ years of full-time work experience in marketing or communications, preferably for college admissions or enrollment marketing  

  • A track record of results in planning and launching successful targeted marketing campaigns, and automated email journeys  

  • A strong interest in collaborating in a team environment and working with a variety of stakeholders throughout the organization 

  • Strong prioritization skills and the proven ability to move forward multiple projects in concert, both independently and as a member of the team    

  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making 

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working through change and ambiguity 

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and execute a messaging approach that resonates with our audiences 

  • Creative thinker with a natural drive to get things done, break down barriers, and work interatively 

  • Familiarity with College Board products and services and a passion for supporting the educational opportunities for millions of students    

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Related Field

  • We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact. The salary range for a new employee in this position is $56,000-$95,000. The salary offer of an individual candidate within this range is specific to their location and qualifications.
