Educational Country Manager - Philippines

Location: Philippines, 100% remote work-from-home position (You must permanently live and have the right to work in the Philippines to apply for this position)

Pay Rate: $7.50 USD per hour (Paid via Bank Transfer)

Contract: 12-month contract with an extension highly likely. Self-employed contractor. Responsible for own taxes. No benefits.

The Role:

As Twinkl continues to evolve and expand its reach in the education sector in  the Philippines, we are seeking a dedicated Country Manager to play a pivotal role in positioning us as the leading education resource provider in the Philippines. 

Twinkl is committed to educators’ ongoing professional development and is dedicated to providing innovative resources that empower educators and enhance learning outcomes. 

In this role, the Country Manager will lead and help create training and certified courses for educators in the Philippines. You will work closely with a team of teachers and lead initiatives for product development, whilst leveraging Twinkl's expertise to shape the educational landscape and forge strategic partnerships that enrich the learning experience for educators.

We're looking for a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of education and a keen eye for market needs. You'll be well-connected in the education sector, passionate about supporting educators, and adept at leading teams. Understanding of marketing and social media is also important for increasing our brand presence, while your entrepreneurial mindset and educational expertise will drive strategic product development.

This role demands quick thinking and strategic planning to navigate the evolving education landscape effectively.

Requirements

Educational Leadership and Market Understanding:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the education landscape and the evolving needs of educators and learners.

  • Forge strong relationships with decision-makers and educators across the country, positioning Twinkl as the go-to resource provider.

  • Develop segment-specific strategies that align with Twinkl's overarching goals, leveraging insights into market needs and trends.

Product development:

  • Lead the development and improvement of resources designed for educators' specific careers.

  • Prioritise ongoing professional development for teachers, providing opportunities for training, workshops, and access to the latest pedagogical approaches and subject matter expertise.

  • Lead a team, motivating them to excel and encouraging innovation and teamwork.

  • Use your entrepreneurial mindset to find new opportunities, lead important projects, and drive Twinkl's growth forward.

Marketing and Brand Awareness:

  • Use your expertise in marketing and social media to boost Twinkl's brand awareness and connect with our target audience effectively.

  • Assist in building relationships with local organisations and influencers to broaden our brand's reach and credibility in the market.

  • Strategically highlight Twinkl's products to align with educators' needs.

  • Work with Philippines Marketing Assistant to design marketing campaigns and analyse marketing data to assess campaign success and refine strategies as needed.

Business Growth and Performance:

  • Achieve revenue targets, new customer acquisition goals, and other key performance indicators.

  • Monitor market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisions to drive growth.

  • Provide regular reporting on market performance and progress towards business objectives.

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:

  • Thorough knowledge of the education market and system in the Philippines.

  • At least 3 years of experience teaching and working in the Philippines Primary Education Sector.

  • Experience teaching the Matatag Curriculum.

  • Acute awareness of customer needs, especially educators' pain points.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to seize opportunities.

  • Commercial acumen with a strategic mindset and risk-taking ability.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.

  • Highly organised with a focus on execution and results.

  • Mastery in marketing and social media, with a focus on increasing brand engagement and driving user acquisition is a plus.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to Twinkl's mission of supporting those who teach.

Please note: We are not looking for any candidates who have not previously worked in the Philippine public school sector as a fully qualified teacher.
