The Role at High Level: 

We’re looking for an experienced SMB Sales Manager who excels at balancing strategy with hands-on team leadership in a fast-paced sales environment. You’ll drive revenue growth, optimize sales processes, and lead a team committed to hitting ambitious targets. Reporting directly to our VP, Sales, you’ll use your analytical skills and market insights to keep our sales engine firing on all cylinders.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 + $40,000 in variables.

What You'll Be Expected To Own:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Craft a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Wagepoint’s goals and targets for growth in the SMB market. Implement both inbound and outbound sales tactics to drive revenue and expand market reach.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Guide and develop your sales team, conducting regular 1-on-1s, setting goals, and supporting professional development. Foster a collaborative culture with clear expectations for success.

  • Sales Targets and Performance Management: Set ambitious, clear targets, monitor team performance, and adjust strategies as needed. Provide feedback regularly to ensure individual and team alignment with sales goals.

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients. Proactively address customer needs, ensuring high satisfaction and retention within the SMB segment.

  • Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance the sales process, leveraging data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements. Introduce innovative tools and practices to boost efficiency.

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research to identify new opportunities and keep Wagepoint aligned with current trends. Use these insights to inform and adapt the sales approach.

  • Sales Training and Enablement:Develop and deliver training programs to equip your team with the necessary skills and tools. Ensure readiness with materials like playbooks and industry insights to support effective client engagement.

What You Bring To The Table:

  • 5+ years in SMB or mid-market sales with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • 2+ years in a sales management role, preferably in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in developing customer-centric sales strategies in a SaaS or tech company.

  • Expertise in CRM systems (HubSpot or Salesforce) and data-driven sales management.

  • Demonstrated skill in analyzing sales metrics and driving data-informed strategies.

  • Strong background in coaching and mentoring, fostering team accountability and high performance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Bonus points if:

  • Certifications in sales management or sales enablement (e.g., Certified Sales Leader).

  • Familiarity with payroll or HR software solutions.
