Business Development Representative (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Business Development Representative to take ownership of the front end of our sales process, from identifying and generating new leads to following up with existing ones and nurturing long-term client relationships. This fully remote role includes contacting potential clients on the phone to set an appointment, handling email communications, CRM management, and driving new lead-generation strategies. 

To succeed in this role, you must know how to use gen AI to work effectively, have strong communication skills, be confident on the phone, and represent our company with professionalism.

About the Founder

Chris Wise, with over 30 years of experience, has established and led multiple successful companies and completed two successful exits with his own businesses. He has coached, mentored, and advised 100’s of CEOs, founders, and business leaders in almost every industry. Chris is a Certified Acquisitions and Integrations Manager (CAIM), and Certified Value Builder (CVB). 

Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Chris is an influential speaker and author, having published three books and numerous blogs. He promotes a new intelligence paradigm, the Love Quotient (LQ), positioning it as crucial alongside IQ and EQ. Through his philosophy, Chris inspires people to achieve their full potential by embracing a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others.

Responsibilities

- Conduct cold calling to reach new prospects, qualify them, and convert them into active leads.

- Qualify and follow up with existing leads.

- Schedule meetings with strategic partners through phone and email communications

- Update and manage the CRM, ensuring all client and lead information is accurate and up-to-date.

- Schedule and coordinate discovery calls with qualified leads to better understand their requirements.

- Assist in optimizing the sales process and refining conversion strategies.

- Identify and implement sales and marketing process improvements.

- Utilize Google Docs and Sheets to organize data, track progress, and generate reports

Requirements and skills

Hard Skills

  • Proven experience in lead generation and identifying new business opportunities.

  • Confident in calling and following up with existing leads to nurture relationships.

  • Ability to book meetings between the CEO and potential clients.

  • Proficient in CRM management and keeping records up to date (Monday.com, Dex, or similar platforms)

  • Skilled in managing email communication effectively.

  • Experience in direct sales and building business development relationships with strategic partners.

  • Ability to execute and improve sales strategies to drive results.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in client interactions and client-facing roles

  • Exceptional research skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information effectively

  • Extensive experience using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing files and contracts

  • Experience in administrative tasks, including contract preparation and document management

  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with business software

  • 3+ years of experience working as part of a remote team

  • 5+ years working in a business development and/or sales capacity

Nice to have Qualifications/Responsibilities

  • Experience creating and managing content (video, written, ebooks) using AI tools

  • Background in business valuation, management consulting, M&A, or financial services

  • Experience working with MailChimp

  • Marketing automation expertise

  • Prepare contracts using company templates, send them to clients, and track progress through follow-up actions.

  • Support sales calls and create compelling business proposals tailored to client needs.

  • A reliable high-speed internet connection that can support Video Conferencing

  • Readily available and responsive on WhatsApp
