Supplier Management Lead

Your Mission 💪

As a Senior Supplier Management Lead at boxxe, you'll spearhead our Supplier Management team, driving transparency in our supply chain and cultivating impactful partnerships. Situated within our dynamic commercial unit, you'll collaborate closely with the Commercial Director to ensure top-tier business support. With direct oversight of our Supplier Management Team, you'll be pivotal in enhancing both our business and customer experiences. Engage with cross-functional teams and partners to optimise supply base performance, delivering strategic advantages in cost, risk, and service. What you’ll be doing 🎯

  • Lead the Supplier Management Team, fostering team morale and job satisfaction for high performance.

  • Utilise automation opportunities within our ERP system and potential third-party platforms (i.e. Gatekeeper, Hicx, ivalua, GEP)

  • Collaborate closely with business functions and key stakeholders, prioritising effective communication.

  • Prioritise customer experience, internally and externally, placing it at the forefront of all operations.

  • Engage with sales teams to ensure seamless processes and outstanding customer service.

  • Cultivate strong internal and external partnerships to drive commercial and operational evolution.

  • Develop and mentor team members to build a skilled talent pool for succession planning.

  • Maximise cost strategies and rebate creation while advancing capabilities through partnerships.

  • Establish a structured supplier relationship management program for compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Monitor supplier performance and mitigate commercial and operational risks proactively.

  • Identify areas for improvement and lead innovative strategies to enhance practices and processes.

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including complex negotiations and contract arrangements.

  • Support the business with complex deal positioning and key bids.

  • Champion supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives while ensuring market value.

  • Act as both a leader and a participant in evolving processes and capabilities.

What experience we think you’ll need 🚀

  • Experience in procurement/commercial roles within the Technology industry, ideally in an IT Channel setting, with a preference for Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environments in international businesses.

  • Proven leadership in driving high-performance teams.

  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex sales cycles and delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Effective track record in building and nurturing supplier relationships.

  • Proficiency in preparing RFPs, conducting supplier evaluations, and structured proposal reviews for tender processes.

  • Hands-on experience in implementing supplier/vendor management concepts, methodologies, and tools.

  • Strong grasp of reporting, quality management, and process enhancement.

  • Excellent time management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a knack for numbers.

  • Outstanding communication and influencing abilities.

  • Aptitude for cultivating and maintaining relationships across various levels of an organisation.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high activity levels and tight deadlines.

  • Collaborative team player with a drive for personal and team success.
